I love this series, love that she expanded the series to include so many others, even though the werewolves are my favorites.
I think that all of the multiple leads made the series a lot more enjoyable and I always enjoyed how they interacted with each other.Clay and Elena are totally my favorite but I also really like Jamie and Hope as well.
Sadly this last novella was just ok kind of depressing considering the price.
I read Bitten back in 2010 and didn't love it. Nothing happened for a very, very long time. I think maybe page 109 or something. It did pick up after that for me, so I gave it 3 stars.
I've since picked up the next 2 books on sale but haven't been inclined to jump back into that world.
Finished
- very different from the first two books in the series. Although she is not as kickass as Elena, Paige is a more likable heroine and Lucas it a great hero. He is such a refreshing change from the typical alphas in the genre - a man who uses words instead of fists to get his point across.
A lot of people like Paige for some reason she never quite resonated with me but I do like Lucas a lot.

You know I honestly think this is a series where you love it or hate it but not much of both

If I'd been introduced to Paige first then she might not have resonated as well because my preference is usually for kick-ass heroines. Elena's just rubbed me the wrong way with her behavior with Phillip and Clay :0(

Yeah, it was pretty much luke warm for me.
Jamie Vegas is my favorite heroine of the series. She's not the typical heroine - she doesn't have amazing fighting skills or other "kick ass" abilities - in fact, her powers come with a definite disadvantage - but she does the best she can in the crazy situations. I also Jamie & Jeremy's relationship - it's not often that the older characters in a series get to have the fun, sexy romance.Lucas & Jeremy are my favorite heroes of the series. Both are quiet, smart men with dysfunctional families.
I'm halfway through listening to
now. While the story is good and I really like Paige and Lucas, Laural Merlington's narration is problematic. She doesn't have that ability to really pull me into the story that some of my favorite narrators do.

What I liked about the swapping POV's was that you get the first impressions, but then when it's their story you get a better feel that maybe people are more than their first impressions. Elena's impressions of Paige and Jaime. Paige's impression of Eve (from what she remembers), etc. They all flow so well into each other imo.
And Lucas is definitely one of my book boyfriends. ;)

"That's a good way of putting it. Definitely more to the characters than meets the eye of the heroine narrating. I'm eager to learn more about Eve and Jaime after only getting Paige's POV.
