message 201: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) Finished Black Arts (Jane Yellowrock, #7) by Faith Hunter - some good developments and I'm eager to see what is up next for Jane and Beast.

message 202: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments Excellent Lauren, that's the one I'm up to :)

message 203: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Been a long time since I had a chance to actually read a book
I decided to start back with a love story well PNR really Breeds are really not known for romance anyways I finished
Bengal's Quest.

This story line is a bit more complicated took me a while to recall the events of the past few books.

Enjoyable though.

message 204: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments Finished a re-read of Written in Red (The Others, #1) by Anne Bishop & Murder of Crows (The Others, #2) by Anne Bishop - still fantastic!!!!

I think it is well past the time that this series came to an end. I wish Leigh would just give us Cassie's story so that we could have closure and move on!

I agree with you. I read Bengal last night and it was a bit boring. I really want Cassie's story!

message 207: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments Finished Magic Shifts (Kate Daniels, #8) by Ilona Andrews this afternoon, and it was good to see Kate & Curran back to normal, and plenty of action.

Now I'm in withdrawal!

I can't take the long wait between installments so I've decided to collect the next few (from Magic Breaks (Kate Daniels, #7) by Ilona Andrews ) and binge read. I might even wait until the series is done, lol!

message 209: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments I can understand that. I think there's only another 2 books to go.

I wouldn't have the will power to do that!

message 211: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments Me either Darcy, but I've got other series books that I'm doing that, but not Kate & Curran.

message 212: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 3123 comments I've never been able to do that with any series. lol

message 213: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments It's probably a case of too many books, and *oh look a shiny new cover*, that inevitably, some series start to slide even though you want to read them, and then the next book is out before you know it.

message 214: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 3123 comments The only time I can not read a new book right away is if I start to loose interest in the series, but can't quite give it up.

LOL

message 216: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I think Kate Daniels is one of the few books I read now when it comes out.

Really only two books left that is sad

Lauren (laurenjberman) Darcy wrote: "The only time I can not read a new book right away is if I start to loose interest in the series, but can't quite give it up."

Oh I haven't lost interest in Kate and Curran. They are still my favorites but this way I get to read them all at once without going through the withdrawal. Its a hardship but I can do it! :0)

I've decided to do the same with Chicagoland Vampires. Also only 2 books left to be published :0(

No will power for me to do that at all!

message 220: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (readingonthefly) I've been doing a reread of the October Daye series. I'm up to An Artificial Night (October Daye #3) by Seanan McGuire . Also reading Ross Poldark (Poldark, #1) by Winston Graham .

message 221: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I finally am back at home so I actually have a little time to read.

In the past week I finished:

Compromising Positions (Highland Wolf Pact, #2) by Selena Kitt Shards of Hope (Psy-Changeling, #14) by Nalini Singh Hunter Reborn (Moon Shifter, #5) by Katie Reus

Compromising Positions is the second book in the series and it is a mix of PNR and historical romance. This book was not as good as the first but there was a bit to much smexy going on at points I was like um why do you like each other again?

Shards of Hope was totally worth the wait!

Hunter Reborn I liked it but I preferred the mystery to the romance and I think that is partly because we really don't see the couple fall in love.

message 222: by Brianna (new)

Brianna | 76 comments I decided to really give PNR a chance. My recent love of historical romance led to this. So, I read Night Pleasures by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I quite liked it, despite some over-the-top dialogue.

PNR is still a hit or miss for me. I think generally speaking I like romance where there is a bigger plot than just the romance. Glad you enjoyed Dark Hunters that series is among my favorite.

message 224: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments Finished Chosen (Anna Strong Chronicles, #6) by Jeanne C. Stein and Seventh Grave and No Body (Charley Davidson, #7) by Darynda Jones

Enjoyed both and I'd quite like to jump into the next of the series of both of them :)

message 225: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments Read Eighth Grave After Dark (Charley Davidson, #8) by Darynda Jones now can't wait for the next one to come out :(

Reading Death Beckons (Mortis, #1) by J.C. Diem and it's not bad for a freebie.

message 228: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia Singh | 3 comments So I decided to read the Colbana Files series and I just finished the second book Night Blade and it has left me broken. Too many words to describe the feelings you get. I'm starting the next one right now because I can't end the series at this point.

message 229: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments I've only read the 1st one Anastasia, though I've got a few more. I could tell it would be heartbreaking so I've left them till I'm in the right place, with plenty of tissues.

I was sad when this one ended.

message 242: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments Yes, I can understand why. Anna, at this point, is still having trouble believing she is the Chosen One, let alone a vamp, but she's getting there.

message 243: by Tanvi (new)

Tanvi (tanvijj) | 1 comments I finished the published others series Written in Red . Loved it. Waiting for more desperately :(
It can be weird how she is liked by everyone and some ups downs in them, but that's what makes it going. I finished first grave on the right and did not like it. The plot seemed nice but no development as such. Just romance is boring. This style of book is just not my thing.
I finished blood destiny series Bloodfire .
Started out good and then after 2-3 books, it became ridiculous down the line.
Currently reading Unholy ghosts Unholy Ghosts - stacia kane.
Hoping to find more reads lie others, kate daniels, night huntress, fever and such.

message 244: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Reading Second Grave on the Left (Charley Davidson, #2) by Darynda Jones

message 245: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments Finished Fated (Dark Protectors, #1) by Rebecca Zanetti and whilst I didn't love it (debut novel), I can see potential for the series and I'm sure they'll get better. The writing was good it was just the alphahole was way too strong.

message 246: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Finished Steel's Edge (The Edge, #4) by Ilona Andrews and Lion Eyes (Shifters Unbound, #7.25) by Jennifer Ashley

Steel's Edge was a nice break from text books!

I am trying to read Archangel's Enigma (Guild Hunter, #8) by Nalini Singh

message 250: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments I remember reading reviews when I was deciding whether to buy it. Most said the same thing Dawn, and as they wanted a fortune for it, I gave it a miss.
