Oh no!

For some reason it feels like I've missed a book, or series, somewhere. If I have do you know what it could be?

I have never read it but it was released after she had written a few books I want to say it was shortly after Dreams of a Dark Warrior. So if it is not clicking skip it. I like the series but it does not always adhere to a normal timeline, especially in later books.

:-) good to know.
The four chapters were choppy and it moved so fast. One part there I had absolutely no idea what time period it was set in!
I'll keep at it for several more chapters and if it's still not making sense I'll shelve it for later.

From memory they both appear towards the end in

There is an ongoing storyline that begins from the first book. Also characters from the early book appear in later books. So I would recommend reading in order.

I was actually surprised at how much his character grew on me. Singh is really skilled at drawing the intensity of the relationships between her characters.

I love Nalini Singh but this book was a miss for me.
Glad you liked it Lauren.

I can totally understand why that can be. Dmitri can be vicious and cruel but I though that Singh did an excellent job outlining his back story and explaining why he is the way that he is. I also have a huge thing for the dark and tortured hero so he appealed to me on that level as well.
The one thing that it took me time to wrap my head around was (view spoiler) , but I came to realize that given Dmitri's nature, it was the only way to go.

That is what kind of killed it for me

I think they are on Wrath vs Mad Rogan (Wrath won that one) and Kaleb vs Curran. Ilona is awesome they are there twice. But I must admit I like both Kaleb and Curran who to choose?

If so it was cute.

I'm only up through chapter ten, which is the first 93 pages or so, and so far it's been okay. It's not wowing me or anything yet. I can easily set it aside to do other things so it's not that feeling of needing to read just a few more pages to see what happens.

Thanks Veronica. I won't be shelling out AU$13+ for each of them then :)

One of my all time favorites. It has stayed a part of me for years.

After all the drama with EL James I decided to look for a book that tells of what a real BDSM relationship is about. Good so far.

At the moment "Spell Blind" by David B. Coe A Urban Fantasy published by Baen. Very good writing and well thought out world. Well done David.

Seanan is a Very Good Writer and even though these are decidedly different from her Daya series they are still a good fun trip for readers. A bit lighthearted in spots but hang on while you read them.

At least you've got book 3 waiting for you.
