Sara | 860 comments The variety of species is one of the best features of the series. I love vampires and werewolves but it's nice for other species to receive attention. I've finished The Brimstone Deception (SPI Files, #3) by Lisa Shearin and am currently alternating between The Ghoul Vendetta (SPI Files, #4) by Lisa Shearin and After the Crown (The Indranan War, #2) by K.B. Wagers .

Thethriftybooklady (readingdiva8511) | 109 comments Finally finished Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews it took me until the second half to get into it but i pushed through and it was worth it. I look forward to reading more now im trying to figure out if i wabt to read Up from the Grave (Night Huntress, #7) by Jeaniene Frost I've been putting it off because im not sure if im ready for the series to be done for me. Or Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon because ive been hearing awesome stuff about it.

Thethriftybooklady (readingdiva8511) | 109 comments I have finished Up from the Grave (Night Huntress, #7) by Jeaniene Frost and enjoyed a goojd ending to one of ny favorite series. I will miss tbe series thiugh but i do still have the spin offs that i haven't read.

I just started Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon it seens to have a lot to rhe beginning of the boom that doesn't seem necessary but maybe its important later on. Its interesting but look forward to it really taking off but from what i hear i just need to get through the first 100 pages.

I made it through the book, but was bored while reading it. Not sure if I'll give it up. For sure if the library doesn't get it.

Sandra | 4736 comments I haven't been enthused enough to read it yet. Trouble is with the slowness of her writing, due to personal probs, I forget what happened in the last book.

That is an excellent plan. If only my library carried it, you know I had it on auto-buy and completely forgot I had pre-ordered it.
Blah mistakes :-(

So did I for the first few chapters I kept thinking did I read the book before? As for this one I would not rush out to get it, but take my opinion with a grain of salt lots of people seemed to think it was great.

message 1015: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments I've already got it :) It's sitting in a huge pile of books. LOL

message 1016: by [deleted user] (new)

I started the Scarlett Bernard Series last month. I'm currently reading Midnight Curse (Disrupted Magic, #1) by Melissa F. Olson . I don't normally read on my phone, but for some reason last month, even though I got lots of books over the holidays, I started reading digital books. And the Scarlett Bernard series was so easy to just click and get the next book. ugh. I am really enjoying the Scarlett Bernard books though.

Thethriftybooklady (readingdiva8511) | 109 comments It took me more than two months but i finally finished Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, #2) by Diana Gabaldon really struggled through it. I noticed it last night, but if you click on that shelf you will see all the books there. I'm sure there is some glitch.

I have one shelf that is a -1, that is how I first noticed.

message 1029: by LastBreath (new)

LastBreath (last_breath) | 243 comments @Darcy I checked and the only ones I can raise is my "to-read" shelf. It shows "1" until it's clicked then the full 945 pop up. Everything else still shows nothing even when clicked. I hope the next update will even the glitch.

message 1030: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 3123 comments I think it might take a couple of days, but I'm sure things will be back.

I do know once they are I plan to export my shelves. I did it a few years ago, but should do it more often.

message 1031: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments All my shelves are showing 0, but they look like they are there when you click them.

There has been a thread on the Feedback Group about this since Feb 3 with 338 posts, but just now is the first time I've noticed my shelves are saying 0.

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I actually finished a few books:
Reckless by Amanda Quick Natural Witch (Magical Mayhem #1) by K.F. Breene

Amanda Quick is awesone as always.
Natural Witch is a new author to me. The book was cute a bit more on the UF side which was very nice. I think I will keep my eyes open to read something else by her.

message 1033: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I have managed to finish a few books in this category.

From Russia With Claws (From Russia..., #1) by Jacey Conrad I thought this was cute but I was surprised at how many people disliked it. I do wonder if she will carry on with the series.

Immortally Yours (Argeneau #26) by Lynsay Sands For book 26 I think it is pretty cool that she keeps things interesting. I really liked Beth in this one.

Burn Bright (Alpha & Omega, #5; Mercy Thompson World - Complete, #15) by Patricia Briggs hands down amazing I loved every page

Sandra | 4736 comments It's brand new so I'm not surprised you haven't read it yet. I'd wait till all 6 are out cause she's going to release them together when its done.

It's basically a serial, which she's never done before & she's said she's never doing again. LOL.

MG *Bury Me with My Kindle.. & a REALLY Long Charger* (martrob) | 7 comments I'm new to the group, so I scanned the last couple of pages before posting this; apologies if it has been posted before.

This is the first book in a series that I am COMPLETELY ADDICTED to - sooooo good! It has been free on Kindle via Amazon for awhile now; the rest of the books are reasonably priced and more than worth it ($4.99). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00... Fighting Destiny (The Fae Chronicles, #1) by Amelia Hutchins

The story is complex yet once you get into it, starts to come together. There is love, loss, steamy sex (the H/h don't get things rolling in this until later in this book or maybe the 2nd book I think, but the smut level goes to the top of the charts once it does), and twists all over the place. Just when you think you know something, there's something else that pops up that changes it all or at least reveals itself to be not quite what you originally thought. And the female lead does not do what so many seem to do: she will not bend and will not settle for anything less than what she feels she deserves - I love that she is a strong character who takes no crap from anyone, even the man she loves and would do anything for. Really good/interesting plot lines, and there are even "side books" along the way about the other characters in the books (the Elite Guard series). I am on the 5th one right now (there are 6 total - the 6th hasn't been released yet), and I do not want this ride to end! If you like Karen Marie Moning's Fever series, you will like this for sure. You definitely have to read them in order - they aren't standalone. Highest recommendation! Fighting Destiny (The Fae Chronicles, #1) by Amelia Hutchins

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 3123 comments I know there are a lot of Keri Arthur fans in this group. I just saw where she is releasing a new book in a new series, Unlit (A Kingdoms of Earth & Air Novel Book 1) by Keri Arthur . This one sounds interesting and a little more dark than she usual writes.

Thethriftybooklady (readingdiva8511) | 109 comments Its been a litte while since i posted but i read Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, #2) by Diana Gabaldon it was ok but very long and it wasn't as good as the first one. Tgrn i read Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas and I liked it but Cereana annoyed me.

I then read Red Queen (Red Queen, #1) by Victoria Aveyard and Glass Sword (Red Queen, #2) by Victoria Aveyard and really liked them. I'd be reading the next book but i promised I'd read Written in Red (The Others, #1) by Anne Bishop so i am and so far i like it.

LOL. That's a bunch of thoughts! I found that Celaena annoyed me too in the first book. If you now read The Assassin's Blade (Throne of Glass, #0.1-0.5) by Sarah J. Maas next, it will explain a lot about why she is the way she is. I love that series...

Written in Red (The Others, #1) by Anne Bishop is the new series I recommend to everyone. I just read it last year and I'll probably re-read it before this year it out!
