Anne | 318 comments I loved Night Shift (Midnight, Texas, #3) by Charlaine Harris .

Now, I am reading Lost Stars (Star Wars Journey to the Force Awakens) by Claudia Gray for something different,

I finished Lost Stars (Star Wars Journey to the Force Awakens) by Claudia Gray and actually really enjoyed it.

Just started reading Bloodline (Star Wars) by Claudia Gray - with Leia Organa as the main character.

I've recently been devouring the Downside Ghosts series as well, believe i just picked up book 4 & 5 from the library!!

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) Re-read Tortured by Amanda McIntyre which I enjoyed but not as much as the first time I read it, its a bit of a ridiculous book, definitely a guilty pleasure.
About to start re-reading Mistborn The Final Empire (Mistborn, #1) by Brandon Sanderson which I'm really looking forward too. Then I'll (hopefully) be reading Sacrificial Magic (Downside Ghosts, #4) by Stacia Kane Chasing Magic (Downside Ghosts, #5) by Stacia Kane

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) Re-reading Mistborn The Final Empire (Mistborn, #1) by Brandon Sanderson and loving it, though I'm a little bummed over the changes happening to Vin. I kind of liked her more suspicious self.

message 458: by MadameZelda (new)

MadameZelda I just finished Fallen (Fallen, #1) by Lauren Kate , Book 1, of a very popular series. It is so slow moving. You need to get at 42 percent before you figure out what is going on. Then at 72 percent, the action begins. Too late.

Dahrose | 8 comments Yeah - book 8 of the Southern Sanctuary series has just been released. Can't wait until the weekend to dive into - To Thrill A Thief To Thrill A Thief (Southern Sanctuary, #8) by Jane Cousins

Jane Cousins books have it all - sweet steamy romances and LOL moments with heaps of witty dialogue.

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) finished The Clone Republic (Rogue Clone, #1) by Steven L. Kent it was.... fun. I'm not going to say there aren't issue but i rather enjoyed the book even after noticing them. Looking forward to Rogue Clone (Rogue Clone, #2) by Steven L. Kent

now contemplating whether i should re-read Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout so i can finally finish the series - i do recall very much enjoying the first...3? books but that was quite a long time ago, still i have faith in Armentrout's ability to be amazing and make me enjoy things i otherwise doubt i would.

MadameZelda I am reading book 3 Blameless (Parasol Protectorate, #3) by Gail Carriger , a steampunk novel.

message 482: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments I'm reading Paladin (Graven Gods, Book 1) by Angela Knight Anglela Knight's first indie published book. Good so far but a fair amount of world building, but in this case its necessary.

Madame Zelda, I had to read Blameless (Parasol Protectorate, #3) by Gail Carriger straight after #2 cause of the cliffhanger.

f'll say! I only had to wait a few days for the library to send Blameless to me. Yes, that cliffhanger took me by surprise. So unexpected!

message 484: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4736 comments I always tell people about the cliffhanger if I see they are reading #2. It's one that just sticks in my memory.

message 485: by Alisa (last edited Jul 11, 2016 07:18PM) (new)

Alisa I read Made For Sin by Stacia Kane which I really liked.

Also I've been listening to Rise A Newsflesh Collection by Mira Grant on audio and I'm enjoying it a lot. I especially liked these two stories from it
San Diego 2014 The Last Stand of the California Browncoats (Newsflesh Trilogy, #3.1) by Mira Grant The Day the Dead Came to Show and Tell (Newsflesh Trilogy, #3.3) by Mira Grant

The Show and Tell one was horrible. It really stuck with me after reading it. Listening to it the second time around seemed to make it worse, made it seem more real.

I thought it was just me. I had to take a break before I went on to the next story. It was very upsetting. I really identified with her and kept thinking about what it would be like to be responsible for those children & having to make the choices that she did.

A lot of the politics and bureaucracy in regards to the school seemed true to life to me and made me think of the things that have happened in regards to school shootings here in the US.

This is my first time reading any of these shorts (except the first one about how the virus started) and I've done the entire series on audio and really liked it.

That was horrible and when (view spoiler)

I liked how they talk about perspective and about how it's so easy to judge and second guess people after the fact.

This story made me remember what a great writer Mira Grant is.

That was bad. But the perspective comment is right. It's easy to see the mistakes in the aftermath, but when in the situation you have to make a decision and then go with it.

MadameZelda Continuing with the series with Iron Kissed (Mercy Thompson, #3) by Patricia Briggs .

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) Re-read Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3) by Patricia Briggs and it was AWESOME. I did have a review, but it seems GRs deleted it when I made the book 'currently reading' which is annoying as i don't have a backup. But I believe i rated it around 4 stars, which i'll be going again. Thinking 4.5
Also re-read Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson, #7) by Patricia Briggs though i remembered almost nothing from either book, so it was really good to catch up on everything.

Read Dead Heat (Alpha & Omega #4) by Patricia Briggs which i really enjoyed. And i would love to get a start on Night Broken (Mercy Thompson, #8) by Patricia Briggs but it will unfortunately have to wait till i get home from my mum's. So instead I started The Golden Princess (Emberverse, #11) by S.M. Stirling and it was rather terrible. I only got 9 pages in before I quit, pretty sure thats a record for me.
So now I'm re-reading The Better Part of Darkness (Charlie Madigan, #1) by Kelly Gay and I have noticed a few issues that I don't recall from my first time reading it, that are bugging me, but I plan of finishing the next 3 books so I can finally get a start on the forth book.

message 493: by MadameZelda (new)

MadameZelda I am very interested in comments wherein I see re-reads. That makes those books more attractive to me. Thank you, Ashleigh!

Now I am reading Allegiance of Honor (Psy-Changeling #15) by Nalini Singh I so love this series. I find myself trying to sneak in a few pages here and there.
