SOLVED. A book about tunnels, a group of kids and a pirate. [s]

This is a book that I remember reading around 2016. I remember it having something to do with a group of kids (I'm almost certain there was at least one girl) who found a map in an attic (or somewhere like that) and a tunnel system. They were searching for a pirate, I believe, and I think it had something to do with the main characters father having passed away. This book was read to us when we were ten so I'm not sure what genre it was, but I think it was probably a YA Fantasy/Adventure.
