When I am reading ebooks or listening to audio books and I finish them, how do I figure out how many pages I have read?
Jeffrey wrote: "When I am reading ebooks or listening to audio books and I finish them, how do I figure out how many pages I have read?"I look up on Amazon how many pages for the ebooks. I haven't done any audio books yet but I think they said you go by what the print pages are.
The Bishop’s Wife
by Mette Ivie Harrison = 353 pages 24,667 + 353 = 25,020 pages
Ding! Ding! Ding! I did it!!
Helen wrote: "Is this just adding up all the pages of all the books I've read this year and aim to reach 25, 000?"Yes, and it can be audio books too.
Jeffrey wrote: "Nebulous: Jet Black Book One
by T. S. Littlefield= 237 pages.11,616 + 237 = 11,853 pages read"
11,853 + 564 = 12,417 pages read so far. Almost half way there.
Aaron(Sarcasm Reigns) wrote: "Are you enjoying the book, Helen?"Yeah just finished it Aaron and to say I LOVED it would be a gross understatement! Can't wait for the next one
Aaron(Sarcasm Reigns) wrote: "I thought it was scary and amazing. Finders Keepers should be another awesome book! Have you read Revival yet? It's another great book by King."Yeah Aaron, I've read Revival. It was pretty good and I really enjoyed it but can't say it's one of my favourite King books. Really loved the characters in it though and a really interesting plot. Finders Keepers and Mr. Mercedes on the other hand are right up there with my fave King books :)
Brenda wrote: "Hey, I met the 25,000 pages in July!! With 5 months to spare!"Good job Brenda!! I'm about halfway there.

Thanks, Lorrea! I actually surprised myself.
Brenda wrote: "Hey, I met the 25,000 pages in July!! With 5 months to spare!"Congrats Brenda!! I'm almost there. After I finish the book I'm currently reading I'll be there. I'm surprised at how many pages I read a year. I know how many books but never kept track of pages before.

Paula, if you go to the MyBooks link and then click on Stats, it will tell you how many books you have read each year, how many pages, and the publication years of the books you have read.

Thanks Lorrea, I didn't know that.
I actually track all of my reading in an excel spreadsheet. I enter each book, and can include books in progress for my total page count and then I have formulas set up for Year to Date and each month tracking. (Yes, I am a math nerd and a book nerd.) Some of the stats for each month include: books completed, total pages for the completed books, average pages per day, average pages per book, longest book, shortest book, average days to complete a book, pages ahead or behind goal, and percent ahead or behind goal. These same stats are included on the Year to Date number, as well as the additional stats of books by range of pages (ie: under 100, 100-200, etc), author with the most books, number of books and pages for that author, percent of goal complete, pages to goal, and expected final pages for the year.
Within the listing of the books, I also have a ranking for the book based on its total pages compared to all of the other books in the list. Each time I complete another book, the formula recalculates the rank for all the books.

69.Jane Eyre, 695 pages
70.Never Too Late, 216 pages

72.Au bonheur des dames, 447 pages

Thanks, Paula.
I didn't officially enter this challenge, but according to my stats, I read more than 29,000 pages in 2015!
I did enter the challenge and according to my stats I read 33617 pages. I stopped keeping track after I got to the 25000 mark.
I have no idea how to check my page count. It doesn't come up or I am doing it wrong. Reading 60 books has to be a couple of thousand of pages.
Chris wrote: "I have no idea how to check my page count. It doesn't come up or I am doing it wrong. At the top of your book list page is a banner saying "look at your 2015 books" or something like that. Click the banner and page numbers come up along with a whole lot more information.

Thanks Pat - I hadn't noticed before that it gave the number of pages as well as the number of books! 51,613 pages for me last year!
