The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
question
Another Prequel?

I enjoyed this prequel because I got to view the early Hunger Games from Snow's point of view. And not just him, but his fellow privileged Capitol peers and family, as well. The prequel gave me more context for the books that follow and a lot to think about.
Do you think there will be another (or several) prequels? We've now seen some of the "why" behind the future President Snow, but I'd be interested in reading about some of the "hows." I'd also love to read more about some of the characters mentioned in the original trilogy, like Haymitch and Mags or even Heavensbee and Tigris.
All in all, I enjoy Suzanne Collins' writing and all of the Hunger Games books. While I feel that "Ballad" tied up its story sufficiently, I find that I'm still craving more. Anyone else?

In my opinion, the book was interesting but very dull. I didn't like following Snow's perspective, and the food was described more than the actual hunger games. The book was WAAAAAAY longer than it needed to be.
I agree! I really enjoyed getting to know some of Snows backstory but I want to know more! Were his classmates the parents of Plutarch Heavensbee and Fulvia Cardew? It’s interesting he was always associated with rebels! Lol And what happened with him and Tigris? They were so close! I want to see how he got to be President and if the Grandma’am got to see that.
I would love to see more of the other characters stories also- the other victors and how the games evolved. Like when did they start treating the tributes better? And changing the arenas? It’s all so interesting!
I love the series and I definitely crave more of these stories so I really hope we get more prequels!!

I agree about wanting to know about what happened between him and Tigris! I was hoping we would get the answer in the epilogue but since we didnt I am

I felt the final chapters really set up the plot for another book or two..
I mean, we learnt a lot about his final year at the Academy, but now he's going to train in Gamemaking, and who knows how messed up he is over the Lucy Gray incident and over poor Sejanus.
And @Stephanie (sorry, how do i tag you?), I really liked Tigris too! I want to know more about her.
Also about that friend of Snow's father - I thought that was a love triangle involving Corio's mother.

I would LOVE more prequels!! Either full books, like this one, or even a book full of smaller stories all following different people. I would love to see the POV/learn more about Mags and the 11th games, Haymitch (my favorite), Effie, Plutarch, Cressida, Finnick, JoAnna, district 13 and honestly maybe even one from Gales POV.
