These days we all need something to look forward to and yesterday, J.K. Rowling gave us a wonderful surprise. The author announced on Twitter that she will be releasing an unpublished manuscript online, chapter by chapter, every weekday through July 10.
The Ickabog is a standalone fairy tale for children and unrelated to the Harry Potter universe. While it is being serialized online now, the book will be traditionally published in November. Rowling is conducting an international competition for children to illustrate it.
“The best pictures in each publishing territory will be included in the books we intend to publish in November 2020,” she tweeted.
