Thank you all for your support!

I had no idea that TMS fans had a group on Goodreads, but it makes sense now that I think about it. TMS fans are fairly bookish, in general ;)
I'm currently re-reading

I just finished

Finally, I'm anxiously awaiting

What are y'all reading?

I have a pile of books for this group and another that I joined, although I'm just finishing off a non-fic book on black women comics creators: Black Women in Sequence: Re-Inking Comics, Graphic Novels, and Anime
Enjoyed reading Hyperbole and a Half as chosen by this group! It had been on my list of things I'd like to read for a while. :)

glad to have you both here and hope you'll jump in on book discussions and nominations! There is a nomination thread for next month going on right now, it's the best way to introduce some great reads to the club ;)

Currently-due to school-I’m on break from reading, Sputnik sweetheart, by Haruki Murakami. It can be defined as surrealist towards the end, but I feel it’s pretty realistic. It’s a book about questioning ones roles in society and family, and I like how the book addresses the distress that one inherits from forcing the self to be someone they aren’t. The book also looks into gender, sexuality, and the concept of being trapped in another world.
I love Japanese lit, graphic novels which question good and evil, and comics that place women in extreme positions. Like how to cope with trauma, why is it women tend to gain strength in a lot of literature (fiction) through supernatural means, and so on.
Well, that’s my little bio.

Poe has an album that goes along with the book. I can't remember which one, but I tried listening to it once as I read. It really enhances the creepy factor.
