I read this in the late 80s or early 90s, relating to the main character embarrassed by her family. I'd love for my kids to read it now but I can't think of a title or author. Thanks!

How old is the girl in the story, teenager or younger child?Can you remember any incidents that happened on their road trip? Were they on vacation, traveling around the USA?
I want to say she was in 5th or 6th grade. She had siblings pulling pranks. They traveled out west to the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, etc. I wish I could remember more...
