Koa was relieved when Levi laced their fingers together and went to the front with her, she told the host her name. They were soon going to a table that was amazing, Koa's jaw may have dropped slightly. Damn, her girl knew how to get a seat. They sat and Levi asked about her day, Koa smiled. Always caring, always sweet, well Koa could appreciate that.

"I had some meetings, your text may have made me interrupt one of them, in a good way," She said quickly and with a wry grin. "It was just a bunch of little things, and then I went home, got ready and met you here. What about you? What was your day like? Please tell me all about how you slipped into that beautiful dress without sending every woman swooning," Koa bit her bottom lip, damn if she didn't want to strip that off right then. She was fucking gorgeous, and she was there with her! Who would have thought? Not Koa. This was far more than she'd been expecting, Levi was something else, she hadn't been lying when she said that. There was obviously more to her than she knew, but Koa figured they would learn more and more about one another as time wore on. Hopefully she would only have to tell Levi the bare bones of her job, because otherwise it was going to get complicated.

Levi sat and listened to Koa explain how her day went, looking deep into her eyes and resting her chin on the palm of her hand. "Oh? How so, Red?" Levi asked as she sipped water from the glass that was on the table. Koa then posed some questions to Levi and Levi smiled, tracing her fingers over the rim of the glass that she had. "My day was good, I just basically took care of some things that I needed to on my end. I also got to talk to my sibling today which I rarely see them so that was good." Levi then heard Koa ask how she managed to not send every woman swooning over her in that dress. Levi shrugged her shoulders playfully," I'm not so sure. I did want to make sure that I looked the best for my lady," at this point, Levi looked over at Koa and looked her up and down. "Every woman is not my woman."

How did the Universe bring someone such as Koa to her at such a perfect time? She was so grateful for the other woman in her life, as Koa was helping Levi in more ways than one. Levi came back to the present, sitting up and straight back in her seat, the curves of her body accentuated. "I know we came here to have a good time, but I know that we also came here to talk about what happened last night and to get more context. I'm open, ask me anything." She wanted to get straight to the point, otherwise she would start overthinking and that would not be good for the woman in red. When Levi got in her head too much, she started to overanalyze things and her overthinking led her to places that she had no business being. She didn't want to fall into that type of place with Koa because Koa hadn't given her a reason to. If anything, Koa provided a safe and comfortable space in order for them to talk like this and the security that they would get through it and Levi appreciated that. Levi looked at Koa and took another sip of her water, waiting for Koa to say something.

It sounded like Levi had had a good day, very productive. Koa wondered silently when she was going to get to meet this sibling she heard so much about.
Levi was too sweet, Koa didn't deserve her, no matter how much she tried to believe she did. Koa did her best not to smile with pride when Levi said that she wanted to look her best for her. Then they were down to the heart of the discussion. Which wasn't the easiest thing, but Koa was used to hard conversations, and getting through the thick of it.
"Yes, we do need to talk. You can ask me questions as well. I guess my first question is, how long have you been working there?" Koa figured she'd get the facts first, and move onto more personal questions later, if she even asked any of those. She was torn because she really didn't want Levi asking her anything too personal, so she didn't see it as fair that she ask anything too personal either.

Levi took a sip of water as Koa asked how long she had worked there. How long had she been working at Deja Vu? “Let’s see…. Ama and I moved out here…..” at this point this girl broke eye contact and counted on her fingers how many years she had been here. “Five years ago, so 2015. It’ll be six in November. That’s how long I have been working at the club,” she made eye contact with Koa again,” I was just working a regular retail job at this cute little boutique called Riviera and that’s actually how I met Jade. She came into the shop all the time and we got to talking, exchanged Instagrams and went to workout classes together. She actually was the one who had the idea to become influencers and models together. Jade wanted better for me and said that she had a job that she thought I would be good at so she introduced me to Delilah, the owner of Deja Vu. She said that she had a bartending position open and that I would be perfect for it. Honestly, if I didn’t take that position, real talk I think I wouldn’t be the woman I am today. I was a lot more reserved and it wasn’t until I was behind a bar that I started to learn certain things like how to be more assertive. It wasn’t until I started being out on the floor and learning to dance that I learned the rest: the conversation skills and how to own me. My body. My confidence.” At this moment, Levi shed a smile and looked out of the window at Los Angeles, the skyline being imbued with a pink and orange sunset. “ I owe a lot to those girls and Delilah. They helped me after a really rough time in my life and they helped me through. Made me better. I know if I were to leave, that I could call any of those girls and my family and I would be okay.” She felt comfortable sharing that with Koa, Koa would definitely need to know if she ever came by with Levi that those girls and Delilah were a solid rock in her life and that they weren’t going anywhere.

Levi then turned her eyes away from the sunset and looked back at Koa, her brown eyes being illuminated by the low light in the restaurant,” I hope that answered your question,” she paused, turning her full attention back to Koa. “ How are you feeling with knowing that? What are you thinking?”

Koa put her chin in her hand as she listened to Levi and the details of her life that she hadn't known about before. It would seem that she'd come a long way in her life with being as confident as she was. It was an amazing story, she could have listened to Levi all night. Her voice was sexy and smooth, and there was raw emotion in it at certain points that told how much the people in her life meant to her. Koa could respect that, she didn't know what she would do without Nate, he was her best friend, and she would be lost without the guy. She hoped that Levi would respect Nate the way that she clearly expected Koa to respect her self-made family.

"Me? Damn babe how are you feeling after revealing all of that to me? That must have taken a lot of trust, and I truly appreciate it, and I'll keep those girls in mind as I date you and I would go to bat for them as fast as you can blink. Ya know why? Because they're your family, and your family means the world to me babe. Maybe they shouldn't, some might say that this is all too complicated and is going too fast. I think we're two halves that were meant to be a whole, its ridiculous how blessed we are to have bumped into one another. I don't want you to ever think I take you for granted. So if I ever start being an asshole, just let me know, kay? Also I'm glad Jade walked into your shop, because I like the woman you are..." She almost said the 'L' word, but it was far too soon for that. She didn't love this woman, did she? Fuck.

Levi felt a wave of comfort as Koa said that she would go to bat for the family that she had chosen. That was such a sweet gesture and Levi could tell by Koa’s body language that she was being genuine in her promise. How was she feeling after sharing all of that? “Babe, I honestly feel lighter. I feel better and more accepted that I told you. Believe it or not, you’re actually the first person to ask about the origin behind it so I appreciate you hearing me out about it… that means a lot.”

When Levi was saying that Koa was a first for something, she hoped the other woman believed it because it was true. Her other girlfriends hadn’t really provided her with a space that Koa was carefully curating for her. It gave her a sense of comfort and relief as well as belonging. She was astounded by Koa how she made everything so effortless. Levi reached across the table and grabbed Koa’s hand in that moment and looked the other woman in the eyes and at her face, thanking her lucky stars for Koa silently.

As Levi was looking over at Koa, the waiter brought over a bottle of sake for the two of them along with two chilled wine glasses. Levi furrowed her eyebrows slightly and then looked up to the waiter as the person poured them each a glass. “Excuse me, we didn’t order this,” Levi said slightly confused. “Ah yes, a gentlemen and his wife over at another table sent this over to you all on them. Said their names were Mr. and Mrs. Yoshikawa and that they express their sincerest of thanks for the help you provided and that they’re indebted to you. And to also give you this,” at this point the waiter gave Koa a business card with some contact information. “They said that whenever you’re in this neck of the woods to give them a call ahead and you’ll always be taken care of,” the waiter then finished pouring the two glasses of sake,” I’ll be back for your guys’ order soon.” The waiter disappeared and Levi took a look at the bottle of sake and gasped lightly. This was a 4,000 dollar bottle of sake that the waiter had just dropped off to them. Whoever had bought this for them, it looked like Koa had done them a really big favor. “Well that was nice of them. What’s the story behind the congeniality?” Levi asked, taking another sip of her water waiting for an answer from her date patiently.

Koa wished that she could feel that way, she yearned to tell Levi about herself, everything. The fact was though, it just wasn't safe, especially for Levi and her sibling. So she would continue to keep it bottled up inside, forgoing letting anything off her own chest. Perhaps she could say a few things, but nothing deep. Levi reached across and touched her hand, Koa squeezed it and smiled genuinely at Levi. She would lay her life on the line for her girlfriend and not think twice about it. It was just something that she would naturally do because she liked, maybe even loved, Levi. A waiter interrupted their moment, Koa was about to object when Levi did for them. The waiter explained who it was from, Koa looked across the restaurant and nodded her head in appreciation, a serious expression on her face before she turned back to Levi. She moved some of her hair out of the way, more out of habit than anything. She had to tell Levi something, because this expensive sake was something, it wasn't some cheap bottle of wine or something.

"Well," Koa blushed slightly, "I sort of saved them in a way," Koa shrugged it off as if it wasn't a big deal. Koa didn't like the spotlight on her unless she put it there herself. "Their children and themselves are here today because of the business I work for. They're good people, you would love their children, they're adorable. Dimpled cheeks and all," Koa smiled some in remembrance. "Anyway, now we get to enjoy this nice bottle of sake," She tried brushing over the fact that they had a bottle of alcohol sitting on their table that would be worth far over the cost of their own meals. Damn, I'm going to get caught up in this one. She's too smart to just let it go...., Koa thought as she began pouring them each a glass. "Its nice to have connections all over the city," She mentioned lightly, smiling herself to Levi.

Levi nodded slowly as Koa poured them glasses of the sake that had been put on the table. This sake was not cheap so that was a really big gesture on their part. What was their names again? Fuck Levi would have to remember later so that she could potentially search them. Levi looked at the expression on Koa’s face as she explained briefly what had happened. Saved them? How? What had she done for the family? What did she do for work? She wanted to know but Levi let it go, knowing that Koa would tell her in due time. Levi took the glass and took a sip, holy shit that was strong. She would definitely need to pace herself on that because too quick and she would be way too gone. Levi needed to be present for this because this was important. “So you were out being Superwoman huh?” Levi said with a smile, the wine glass resting naturally between her middle and ring fingers. “You never did tell me what type of business you were in. Do you mind telling me? Are you in the bar industry or something adjacent?”

Koa swirled the glass in her hand a few times not making eye contact with Levi just yet. She was right, she hadn’t made it clear what she did, and it was time to give her something. But what? What bits of truth could she give to her? Levi was sweet, patient, and she was being so open and honest. “I’m sort of a Liason between my boss and people that are in the same line of work. He’s kind of an entrepreneur, so he has multiple businesses. I actually own am buying one of his restaurants from him, it’s where my office is. Weird probably, but I like the busyness of it all. The back and forth of the waiters and chefs, the running around, sometimes I’ll jump in the line and help. It’s a huge stress reliever for me,” Okay that was enough, no more sharing for the night, well maybe a little. “My best friend works for the same guy and he helps me out a lot. Nate and you have got to meet at some point. Just remember he’s a romantic,” Koa rolled her eyes, “You should see the smut books he reads. Really, it’s comical.” Hopefully the would be more than enough to satisfy Levi. Koa took a big sip of her sake and almost started choking, her eyes burned some, “Damn that’s strong.”

Levi nodded. Ah so she was an assistant and entrepreneur. That made sense with how she knew so many people in the ins and outs of LA. Levi nodded, accepting this answer and feeling more at ease. She kind of perked up when Koa said that she was going to be a restaurant owner soon. “Babe! That’s super exciting. Congratulations! Where is it at? I’ll have to bring my sibling down for dinner so that we can support you. But also you didn’t tell me you knew how to cook. We’ll have to have a cook off to see who the reigning Iron Chef will be,” Levi said, shoulders relaxing and a smile coming to her face again. Levi as about to take a sip of the sake again when Koa took a big sip and almost choked, concern crept over her face as she took a napkin off of the table. Making sure that Koa had swallowed and that she was okay, Levi leaned across the table and wiped Koa’s face as some of the alcohol had ran down from the corner of her mouth and down her cheek slightly brows furrowed again as she tended to her girlfriend. When she had gotten all of the alcohol off of Koa, she leaned back in her seat but didn’t take her eyes off of Koa, chuckling a little” Yes my dear, sake isn’t meant to be taken down like a shot. It’s definitely meant to be enjoyed, savoured. That’s why it crept up on you the way it did.” Levi then turned back to a point in their conversation,” Your best friend? Sounds like a great guy. He and I will have much to talk about because I, too am a romantic. How long have you known each other?”

"Its not like a high end place like this, but its clean, up to code and always serves fresh seafood, I help to pick out our menu and foods on Fridays usually," Koa was super embarrassed about bringing it up, she hadn't meant it as a bragging point, it was just a fact. She was proud of herself for having it almost paid off though, it was the last money debt she owed the stupid man. The thought of Eric made her want to frown, but she swept him and thoughts of him from her mind, he wasn't going to ruin this evening for her with the girl that was invading her heart. "It's called The Sea Witch," She clucked her tongue, "I had a crush on the Little Mermaid as a child," She explained with a dimpled smile. "Yeah that Sake was a bit of a surprise," She laughed lightly, "Who Nate? Um we've known each other since we were kids. So a long ass time I'd say, he's always had my back, and I've had his. Even when things seemed impossible, at least we had each other..." Koa's childhood had been rough, she wasn't in the mood to talk about that, "What about you and your friends? Should we throw some kind of get together? Everyone can meet everyone? I mean that might be a bit much, but it would get all of the how do you do's out of the way," She shrugged. They could even have it at Nates place, he had a good size backyard as he lived just outside the city. He really kept his professional life and personal life separate, more so than Koa.

Levi looked Koa dead in the eyes,” It doesn’t matter if it’s high end my darling. It’s yours. Being able to have the capacity to call something like that yours is something to be proud of and definitely something worth celebrating.” She held Koa’s eye contact for a few seconds before saying,” I’m proud of you.” Which was true, it was amazing to own something that a person could call their own. Koa should definitely be proud. But it seemed like she wasn’t, why was that? Maybe Koa would tell her in due time but Levi just left it alone. “The Sea Witch? I love that. Like I said, my sibling and I will have to come and get a meal there to celebrate,” Levi smiled back over Koa, noticing the dimples in her smile. Levi admired Koa for a moment, snapping a mental picture of how happy her lady looked in that moment. How she just radiated happiness in that present second.

Levi chuckled lightly as she took another sip of the sake, her lipstick staining the glass. “Yeah it creeps up on you babe, be careful.” Levi set the glass down on the table as Koa started to talk about her relationship with Nate. That hurt feeling returned in waves off of Koa, like when she talked about her childhood. Hm. Let’s avoid that all together. “My friends? Lila wouldn’t mind meeting in a group setting, neither would Jade. Let’s plan for maybe a dinner?” Levi said as she started to scan the menu,” Have you thought about what you wanted to do for sushi babe? Anything that’s jumping out of you?”

Koa puffed a little with pride when Levi announced she was proud of her. She seemed to really like the idea of Koa having her own place, it was a relief to have something she could call her own. She managed the employee's and chefs. She chose who to trust with the money, and who to keep their hands out of the till at all costs. There were some of the boys on the lower rung of the ladder that needed a job, so she gave them one as bus boys and hosts. But never as the actual waiter, or anyone that could have the possibility of touching the restaurants money.

"I would be honored to have you both! I hope you like fish, or shellfish, I mean you could order off of the children's menu and get chicken tinders," She was teasing of course. Whatever her girlfriend wanted, she would get, even if it had to be flown in. It sounded like Levi's friends would be fine with them getting together. Nate would likely hit on all of them, she'd have to preteach him about flirting with these girls, she didn't want her best friend offending her girlfriends best friends on their first night together. "Oh uh what about the shrimp crunchie roll, and the tuna?"(I'm just naming things Elena's gotten, I"ve never had sushi XD) Koa perused the menu, "Shall we get some soup as well?" She wasn't sure if Levi was much of a soup person, but personally she loved soups, especially ones from other cultures. Americans had such boring choices.

Levi chuckled at Koa’s comment. “Oh buzz off babe! If I’m gonna order something from the kid’s menu, it’s definitely not gonna be chicken tenders. I thought you knew I was a mac and cheese girl,” she said with a fake deep sigh and pout over to her girlfriend before cracking a smile. “Of course we’d come and see you. I love scallops and crab. Or maybe I should ask for the secret menu… see what the owner makes me? I hope she knows that seafood is an aphrodisiac…” She said, cocking a brow and taking another sip of the sake, fuck this was strong. It was starting to make her feel a little warm with the alcohol, maybe she shouldn’t have worn long sleeves. She did have like two or three other outfits in her car so that wouldn’t be a problem if she needed to change. “Oooo that sounds good, I also might get a rainbow roll or the unagi roll. The crab one sounds stupendous as well,” Levi said, eyes still scanning the menu. “The miso soup is delicious here, I would suggest getting that. I’m game for anything babe, I honestly haven’t eaten much all day.” Sometimes Levi was bad about eating but it was a rarity for her. She tried to keep some sort of sustenance in her body at all times but sometimes it just doesn’t happen because the girl got distracted.

Levi was something else, damn if Koa's body didn't react to her words as she mentioned aphrodisiac, yeah like they needed further encouragement in that department. Koa almost laughed, a giggle was suffering just beneath the surface. The two of them were so busy, yet found time to make out hardcore in Levi's workplace, and still hadn't done it. This was the longest she'd gone with a girl and not actually slept with her. Besides friends of course, she usually didn't sleep with friends, though there were some exceptions to the rule. And really, shouldn't you be friends first? That was practically what she and Levi were doing, becoming friends before they went further. They were learning so much about each other, she'd divulged more than she had to previous girlfriends, and she'd even had Levi see her in her work mode, which was sexy yet terrifying. "We should order all of it, I'm sure they won't mind," Koa snapped her fingers, and a waiter appeared, "We're going to have the rainbow roll, the unagi roll, the crab roll, the shrimp crunchie roll and the tuna roll. Also can you bring us some Miso soup? I hear its the best here," She smiled at the waiter, slipping him a tip early. "Can we get some water too? I'd appreciate it," The sake was going to get to her head if she kept drinking it. "Whatever we don't eat we can split and take home," She told Levi with a smile.

Levi watched as Koa ordered for them and damn did she look good doing it. “Thank you,” the woman said as she passed the menu back to the waiter. “That sounds good, honestly I don’t even think I might make it past the soup because if I’m being completely honest right now, this sake is getting to me and you look too good to be sitting over there by yourself,” she said in a tone that was definitive. Levi looked over at Koa, meeting her eyes first and then sweeping them over the other women’s stature. Koa was beautiful. Under that hard exterior that she had to build up because of the work she did, she was compassionate. Caring. Intellectual. Had one of the most gentle souls that Levi had the pleasure of experiencing really and Koa was willing to share that trust, that vulnerability with Levi and she was thankful. How had they found each other and they were so compatible in each way, especially when it came to their flirtatiousness. Koa kept it interesting and wasn’t afraid to test boundaries respectfully and that was exactly what Levi craved.

Levi met Koa’s eyes again and pushed the glass of sake away from her slightly. They would have to put a cap on that, otherwise they would be up all night. Levi gave Koa a smile and straightened her back against the chair she was sitting in. “What are you thinking about Red? Let me pick your brain.”

Koa smiled at Levi, she was feeling the sake as much as Koa was. They both could use a break from it if they were going to keep level headed. Though they had gotten a lot off of their chests, so they could get a little wired, just not so much that they fell in each others beds. No, Koa wanted to be fully sober for that first night, nothing in her system that could distract her, or let her forget her first night with Levi. She was one that she planned on remembering for the rest of her life. There would be no forgetting that, or her. Though they were taking their time, so it was not going to be anytime soon, she didn't think.

"Me? I'm thinking of things that I shouldn't talk about in public," She admitted with a sparkle in her eye, "Of course I could show you, at my place, in the bedroom," She teased, running a foot up her girlfriends leg. Girlfriend, oh shit. She hadn't even asked her to be that, and here she was thinking she was that. "On a more serious note," Koa turned stone cold serious, "I have a question for you Levi," She used Levi's first name, so that she caught her attention, "We've been dating a little bit now. And gone spoken to each other a lot. I've been thinking," Koa reached for Levi's hand, she picked it up and kissed the back of it, then her palm, she let her eyes slide over Levi, then back up to her eyes. "Would you be my girlfriend?" Sure she could have gone out and gotten flowers, wine, the whole shebang, but she would rather ask right here, right now, and make it official.

Levi threw Koa a sultry glance accompanied with a light smirk. “I never thought you one for following the rules. Share with the class maybe?” Levi said as she picked up the water and took a sip. Yeah she was definitely done with the sake for the night, the alcohol was delicious but hitting her back a little but not too much to where she wasn’t coherent still (thank you high alcohol tolerance).

It was when Koa looked at Levi with an expression she had never seen before. It was serious, a little frosty. Levi sat straight up against the back of the chair that she was sitting in as Koa called her by her name. Ruh roh. People only used other people’s names two times: when they were about to say something good or something really bad. Levi took a deep breath as Koa looked over to her. “Yes?” Levi looked into Koa’s eyes as the red head spoke, her hand under the table gripping her dress slightly. Koa took her other hand and placed a kiss on the back, on her palm and then looked her over before looking her straight in the eyes.


“Would you be my girlfriend?”

Levi’s eyed widened slightly before softening. She looked Koa over and took in this moment. The ambiance. Her girlfriend looking over at her as she awaited an answer. How Koa looked absolutely perfect in that moment.

“Yes. Without question.”

Levi felt tears welling up in her eyes. She was so happy. This woman was everything she wanted: funny, bold and compassionate as well as passionate. The care that had been put into their relationship so far said a lot about what Koa was willing to do and Levi wanted to be there and explore with her. Levi flipped Koa’s hand over and placed a kiss to the back, stars and happy tears in her eyes. “You know you just made me the happiest woman on earth right?”

Koa waited with baited breath as Levi considered her, she was taking forever it felt like, then she answered yes! Koa wasn't one to show emotions publicly, but damn if this woman didn't get right to her fucking heart. She quickly blinked back tears, the biggest, cheesy grin on her face as she watched Levi kiss her hand. A pleasant shiver went up her body, she wished they were anywhere but there. But it was probably for the best that she couldn't grab Levi right then, press her to the wall and have her way with her, yes this was better. They needed to take it slow after all. Her cheeks bloomed with her thoughts, "You made me just as happy babe, I can't believe you said yes!" Her voice was raw with emotion as she spoke. She was so entranced with her girlfriend that she didn't take notice of the waiters waiting to put food on their table, the two women were so wrapped up in one another. It took a clearing of the throat to grab Koa's attention, "Oh," She blushed deeper, "Yes of course," She released Levi's hand, and made room for the food on the table. There were a lot of dishes coming to their table, all for them to taste. "This looks delicious, thank you." She nodded her head to the men that had delivered their food, dismissing them. "So, what should we try first?"

The way that Koa’s voice swelled with emotion overwhelmed Levi and she couldn’t hold the tears back any longer, letting some of them glide down her face. Levi was overjoyed and enamored with the woman across from her. Genuine happiness coursed through her being. It had been a long time since she had felt this way. Levi rubbed her thumb over the back of Koa’s hand and took one of the napkins from the table with her other, wiping the tears away. “Good thing I wore waterproof makeup today,” Levi said with a chuckle as she placed the napkin back on table. Their hands separated as the food came to the table, the spread looking divine. Levi grabbed a pair of metal chopsticks that were on the table and looked over the assortment of food ,” I would say each other,” she said, letting that hang in the air, looking up from the food that they had ordered briefly to meet her girlfriend’s eyes, giving her an easy and innocent smile, finally finding the roll that she wanted to try first and picking up a piece skillfully, holding the piece between the two utensils. She brought the sushi near Koa’s mouth and made eye contact with her girlfriend maintaining that innocent smile,”the sushi will do for now though.”

Koa's eyes opened wider at the suggested 'each other', her surprise turned primal and she felt the need to leave with Levi right then. They could get in her truck and leave, head back to her place. Make out on the way up to her flat, she'd push Levi against the wall of the elevator, then they'd slam into the lobby to her flat. She'd haphazardly open the door to her flat while shedding clothes, her attention on Levi and taking her clothes off one by one. Koa would set Levi on the counter and then- But Levi then suggested sushi instead, a long breath left Koa, there was a warmth inside her, damned up but ready to spill out. Damn it all, she thought, well to hell with what she thought. At least she was there with the most beautiful woman on earth. She smiled and took the sushi in her mouth, closing her eyes briefly as she chewed, "Mmm," She hummed before opening her eyes, "That, was divine." She took her own chopsticks and offered up some sushi to Levi in return, holding a hand under the food in case any fell.

Levi chuckled lightly. It would seem that she was getting to her girlfriend. Maybe she should check in? See how Koa was faring? Levi opened her mouth and she wrapped it around the sushi piece. A low moan of satiation and satisfaction left Levi's body. She chewed and swallowed before taking a sip of the water that was in her glass. " Divine doesn't even begin to describe how good that was." Levi then cocked her head to the side and gave Koa an innocent look before giving Koa a slow and obvious once over. Levi met Koa's eyes again," "Are you okay my darling? Something bothering you?" Levi was laying it on thick, but she really liked getting her girlfriend all hot and bothered. She sat back, giving Koa a look full of playfulness, challenge and lust. Levi wasn't going to go there tonight, but there wasn't anything wrong with creating a little tension right? She knew it would eventually come back to bite her in the ass, but she was enjoying her fun right now. Why not watch Koa squirm just a bit? It wasn't the first time the two were charting dangerous waters and it definitely wasn't going to be the last.

Koa was attentive as she watched Levi take the sushi into her mouth and chew slowly, the moan that escaped her lips, damn if it didn't just about make Koa climb over the table and take her right there and then. She sucked in a deep breath and let it out, counting back from twenty in her head. When Levi asked if she was okay, and gave her the once over, Koa felt the need rise up in her ever more than before, "Just fine, just fucking fine," Koa muttered, throwing Levi a glance that said she could eat her up just then and wouldn't give a damn who watched. She squirmed some in her seat, crossing her legs beneath the table. "Too bad we aren't in a more private atmosphere," Koa said softly, dangerously. She put another piece of sushi in her mouth and chewed as she looked at Levi with a sinful look. She wasn't sure she would make it through the night with Levi, a bathroom makeout session wasn't the most attractive thing, but damn she was almost willing to do it. Maybe they could makeout in the bed of her truck, not do anything too far. Well, actually, would she be able to hold back a second time? She wasn't sure. "Babe, don't let me be alone with you tonight," Koa warned.

Levi went back to her food and picked up a piece of the sushi roll that she had been working on, when she caught her girlfriend's eyes. Now this was something that Levi hadn't seen from her girlfriend... She was sexually frustrated. Goddamn.... The fire that was in Koa's eyes was probably the sexiest thing on earth... And Levi was on the receiving end of it.

Ball was planted firmly in Koa's court. Now what Koa did with it was up to her. If Koa was able to best Levi at her own game, she would be impressed.

Levi got up from her seat and fixed herself before grabbing her clutch off of the table. She placed a hand on Koa's shoulder and looked down at her," I am going to powder my nose, so that should give you about five minutes to make some choices.... It's your move Red." With that Levi walked past Koa, swaying her hips as she walked away to the bathrooms.

As Levi was walking away, a server came by the table. "Mr. Yoshikawa also told us to give this to you before you departed," at this point a velvet box was placed on the table. "It is a jade bracelet with a gold dragon. Meant to bring abundance to you. Please accept this as a token of his thanks. Your dinner has also been taken care of. Is there anything else we can do for you?"

Koa's jaw almost dropped. She had to force it to stay closed at Levi's direct innuendo, fuck. Did she understand that she was playing with fire? Her girl actually got up and went to the powder room, leaving Koa to ponder on what her next move should be. She dropped her cloth napkin on her plate and went to get up to follow Levi when a server approached her, interrupting her thought process altogether. She was flustered and tried to pay attention to what was happening. "Oh uh thanks, tell him thank you and that I appreciate him." She took the box and opened it the bracelet was breathtaking. Koa knew that this was made for someone else immediately, she closed the box and thanked the server before leaving the table, she had to find Levi.

Koa bumped into a guy on the way to the doors, she figured she would meet Levi there. He cursed and shoved her back some. "Hey, watch it!" He exclaimed, Koa's temper flared immediately, she didn't expect to be treated so, by anyone.

"Excuse you? It was an accident," Koa folded her arms over her chest and jutted her chin out, "Do we have a problem?" The guy went to stand toe to toe with her when someone came up quickly and whispered in the guys ear. He paled and looked at Koa apologetically, "My bad. I didn't mean to. Please accept my apologies." Koa nodded her head slightly, before turning on her heel and heading back to the doors, all thoughts of the man flew from her mind as she looked around for Levi. Even with the two interruptions she had a body that was ready to take on the other woman. She wanted to lay her out on her dining room table and taste every bit of her, inch by inch.

As Levi washed her hands, she looked at herself in the mirror, making sure she looked perfect. If it was one thing Levi knew how to do well, it was create tension between her and her partners. Levi placed her hands under the hand dryer that was there. If her calculations were correct, her girlfriend did one of two things: either was waiting by the exit or she was on her way to find her. Either way, she knew she only had a limited amount of time. Might as well not let her girlfriend wait any longer.

Levi exited the bathroom, sanitizing her hands after and staying near the entrance of the restaurant, leaning against the wall , scrolling through her phone. It wasn't until she heard raised voices that she got concerned. She was about to go and check to see what all the commotion was when Koa came from around the corner. Damn... it was just something in the way that Koa moved that just did something to Levi and Levi was getting butterflies. She was excited and nervous but had to keep her cool. She had started this and damn it if she didn't finish it. Levi put her phone in her clutch and leaned against the wall, her curves being in full view. "It looks like you made some choices, Red," Levi said, dragging her eyes over Koa's form in full view, biting her lip before meeting Koa's eyes again.

The restaurant faded into the background as Koa made eye contact with Levi, her girlfriend checked her out and bit her lip, damn if that wasn't a turn on in itself. "I did," She said taking the strides it would take to reach Levi, she took her girlfriends hand and went outside, she turned to her as soon as they were outside. She cupped Levi's face in her hands and kissed her passionately, her tongue warring with Levi's, hot and heavy. She would have kept going if it weren't for customers making inappreciative noises behind them. Koa shot them a look that said she could give no fucks to what they wanted before taking Levi's hand once again and crossing the street. "You, me, a dining room table," She muttered before going towards the parking garage. She threaded their fingers together and was hell bent on getting them to her apartment before one more damn interruption invited itself into their lives. They would finally have a taste of one another tonight, the fates be damned. Koa opened up the passenger door of her truck for Levi, she helped her in, her hands lingering on Levi's waist a moment before sliding down her thighs, she went to the other side to jump into the drivers side and start up the truck.

One moment, Levi was leaning against the wall and the next, the two were outside and Koa’s lips were on hers, Koa’s tongue in her mouth while waiting for the crosswalk light to turn. She tasted like sake, sushi and sin and Levi wanted more. Levi would have kept kissing Koa had people not been clearing their throats and making unpleasant noises. Levi gave them a look,”oh fuck off,” she said, narrowing her eyes. Soon, Levi and Koa were crossing the street, hand in hand with each other and fastly approaching Koa’s truck. “You, me, a dining room table,” Levi heard Koa mutter. The visuals that washed over Levi’s mind were simply sinful and she shivered slightly in pleasure. As Koa helped Levi into the truck, Koa’s hands lingered a little longer on her waist and thigh before Levi was in the truck securely. As Koa made her way to getting in the car, Levi put her clutch behind her. Once Koa was in securely, Levi looked at Koa and then brought her lips to hers, moving them slowly and with intention. After a few seconds, she broke the kiss and looked at Koa, fire alight in her eyes and her tone low and sensual. “While the dining room table sounds appealing, I don’t think that I can wait that long…. so if you’d like to make me a part of your car’s interior…. Koa kissed Levi back, and was disappointed when it ended way too soon. Though Levi's next words had her leaving the truck in park and unbuckling in the fastest time possible. "Babe you don't have to tell me twice," She said as she moved over to Levi, she hovered over her girlfriend as she quickly maneuvered the seat lever and laid it back quickly. "You, this truck, we're all becoming one tonight," She said in a hoarse voice, her hand snaked its way beneath Levi's dress and she gripped her thigh, half laying on top of Levi she went back to kissing her, but it didn't stop there. She was so excited to finally having Levi all to herself that she wanted to be everywhere at once. Her kisses trailed along her jawline and to her earlobe, she nibbled there for a moment as her hand slowly went higher. "I can't believe we're finally doing this," She murmured in Levi's ear, her breath barely grazing her ear. Levi trailed the kisses down Levi's neck, her body taut with tension, warmth pooled in all of the right places. Her breathing was becoming quick as she went down further, biting gently against the top of Levi's breast.

Levi and Koa’s lips met again and Levi let out a low moan as she kissed her girlfriend. The kiss broke and Levi felt Koa move into lower and lower regions, her breath hitching in her throat. “I’m ready for you,” Levi said through ragged breaths. Koa was hitting all the right spots and Levi did not want Koa to stop. Levi flipped them over carefully so as not to damage Koa’s car and so that she was on top, straddling Koa’s lap and pressing her body against Koa's. She looked down at Koa from her perch and slid Koa’s suspender straps off, untucking the shirt that Koa was wearing, pulling her back in for a kiss full of passion and lust for the woman that was under her. She broke the kiss and trailed them down Koa’s sharp jawline, her neck and back up to her lips as she slid her cold hands underneath Koa’s shirt, the skin being warm to the touch.

Levi was about to go further when she heard her phone ringing with her sibling’s ringtone. Levi broke the kiss, pausing for a second and removing her hands from Koa’s bare skin. She sat up and reached over to her clutch, fishing her phone out. “It’s my sibling babe, I’ve got to answer it.” She counted back from 20 to compose herself before hitting the green answer key.

“Hello?” Levi answered. “Levi! We need help,” AmaLee said on the other line. Levi’s eyebrows furrowed,” Is everything okay?” “No, Jay, Lily and I are stuck in Long Beach because Jay’s car died. We already called Triple A to see if they can make it out here and they said it would be 4 hours. Can you come and give the car a jump?” AmaLee pleaded. “I’ll be there boo, just hang tight okay?” Levi said. “You’re the best sister. Te amo. Por favor esté segura.” “Te amo mi amor. See you soon. Find a restaurant or somewhere you all can chill at okay?” Levi said, placing her free hand on Koa’s chest and running her thumb between her collarbone and her neck. “I’ll drop a pin when we’re there,” AmaLee said, clicking the line dead. Levi pulled the phone away from her ear and looked at it with a deep sigh. She locked and looked down at Koa,” Babe as much as I would love to continue this, I have to go.”

As Levi flipped them Koa hitched a breath, then moaned some as she slid her hand up her shirt. Damn if this wasn't the sexiest moment in her truck, ever. She was just about to slip Levi's dress off of her when her phone rang. Koa groaned and wanted to throw a tantrum like a child, she kept her cool though, and said, "Yeah of course, get it..." She knew that if her sibling was calling that it was important. Koa just needed to reign in her own emotions and be okay with being interrupted. She knew that this was just the way of their life, they both were pretty busy beings and people depended on them. She listened as Levi's sibling explained their situation, it sounded like their situation was pretty dire. Koa gave Levi an approving nod, "Of course." Koa pulled her shirt down, but left the straps hanging loose. "I'll just," She moved out from beneath Levi to sit in the drivers seat.

Things would work out for them, one day, Koa had to depend on that, otherwise she would go crazy. She slid out of the truck and went to open the passenger door for Levi, "I'll walk you to your car," She said and helped her out of the truck. "This will work out for us someday," Koa held Levi's hand and went across the street. "Let me know when you get there, and when you get home... Actually do you want me to send one of my guys with you? I could go even?" She was worried for them all out there by themselves. The younger sibling was already out there by themselves, she didn't want Levi getting stranded too. Her overprotective self was kicking in, especially after they had been so intimate just before.

Levi gave an apologetic look as Koa helped her out of the truck, grabbing her clutch and phone. She smoothed her dress out so that they didn't look too rumpled. "As much as I would love for you to come and meet my sibling, I think that we shouldn't especially since I still want to feel you," Levi said, rubbing her thumb over the back of Koa's hand. Koa had also mentioned boys.... what type of boys? What an odd way of phrasing. Hm. Levi would keep that in her back pocket for later. "I think I'll be okay babe. If it makes you feel better, I can share my location with you? And if I need anything, I'll call you directly?" Levi said as she got her keys out and clicked her car open.

Koa chewed on her bottom lip, she was so uncomfortable, in so many ways, right then. "Okay, I'll take the sharing location..." Koa leaned in and kissed Levi softly for a few seconds. "Here, I grabbed this from my truck," She pulled out a taser, "Take this, it'll make me feel better." She handed it over. "Be careful, call me if you need me. You know I'll be there, and give your sibling my best. Lets do this again soon," Koa had work in the morning but she was free after that, maybe her and Levi could do something then, not what they'd just been doing. Because she kind of thought they should stop trying for that for a bit, but just chill. Maybe some Netflix? Or a picnic? She'd text Levi later about it, after she was home. For now she was going to see her girlfriend off first and make sure that she was good before she left.

After Levi ended up making it home with her sibling and their partners in tow, Levi texted Koa to confirm they were safe. After a full night's rest, Levi woke up the next morning, refreshed but sore. Why was she... oh yeah that's right. Because of the extracurricular activities her and her girlfriend had gotten into. The woman's heart fluttered again. Girlfriend! That was something that Levi hadn't been able to call someone in a couple of years. Now she had someone to go get ice cream with at 3 in the morning, fall asleep next to and just be herself with... for now. With her aunt's release looming in the distance, she couldn't risk getting close to anyone but... fuck it she would risk it for Koa. Koa was worth it to her and she would be damned if she couldn't have her in her life. She just hoped that Koa would accept her for who she was and understand why Levi did what she did.

Moving out of her thoughts, Levi got out of her bed, grabbing her phone and exiting her room. She went to go and sit on her balcony that was attached to her apartment which overlooked the city. Levi took a deep breath, feeling at ease as she scrolled through her phone and finding Koa's contact, she hit call. Levi placed her phone next to her ear and waited to see if her girlfriend would answer. Maybe they could do a breakfast? Do a chill day at one of their places? Hopefully Koa would pick up, she wanted her girlfriend to hear her first words of the day and she wanted Koa's voice in her ear.

Koa had seen Levi off the night before, when she'd gotten home she'd gone straight for the vodka and a cold bath. It had been ice cold, and still hadn't cooled her head fully as she dunked herself. She came up sputtering, then wrapped up in a towel and went to bed with the vodka, drinking steadily from the bottle. She put on Netflix, hoping to block out her own thoughts between the television and the alcohol.
She awoke to her phone ringing, Koa yawned and felt around for her phone in the covers. She had no clue where it was, she peeked one eye open and searched the thick comforter. Finally finding it she answered it with, "Hello?" In a croaky voice, her voice was probably raw from all of the alcohol she'd consumed the night before. She needed some water, but she figured the other person on the phone was Nate, so it didn't matter what she sounded like.

Koa picked up the phone and her morning voice… wow it was husky. It was sexy. “Good morning Red,” Levi said, looking at the skyline of Los Angeles. “How are you doing babe? How are you feeling? What are you up to today?” Last night the two of them had gotten a lot of their cards out on the table and they felt more secure as a couple. Plus they had made everything official with the title of girlfriend… as well as some other things. Levi wondered if Ama had not interrupted, how everything would have went down. She didn’t have time to dwell on what if. They would be together intimately one day and when that day came, Levi wouldn’t be done with Koa until every inch of her was covered and adored.

The voice was SO not Nate and Koa sat up quickly, too quickly, she put a hand to her head and moaned slightly. "Hey, aren't we bright and bubbly?" Koa laughed softly, "I may or may not have a hangover. Ummm," She tried to think if she was supposed to be doing anything, "I was supposed to go to work," She laughed, "I need to drop in at least. But besides that I'm free. Why, what did you have in mind babe?" Koa got out of bed and threw on a silk robe as she padded barefoot to the kitchen to get a glass of water. She chugged the glass and let out a sigh, that was better. She sat up on the counter, and thought about the night before. The two of them had been almost there, damn it all, but the fates had other plans for the two of them. Koa pushed those thoughts away before she got all hot and bothered all over again.

"Hangover? Was it the sake babe? Or was it something else?" Levi asked, worry plastered on her face. They hadn't drunk that much at dinner, was Koa okay? Had the sake affected her that much? "Well, I would love to spend some time with my girlfriend today. Would she happen to be available to spend some quiet time at one of our places? I need to cuddle, watch a show and eat chinese take out." They didn't need to get dressed up today, Koa would be tired after work and Levi didn't feel like going and doing anything too strenuous.

Koa wondered if she should tell Levi about her binge drinking the night before. It had been a tension filled, sexless night of binge drinking. Koa decided fuck it, might as well tell her, "I drank almost an entire bottle of vodka after I left you last night," She admitted, she smelled like alcohol was coming from her pores, she sniffed herself, yeah she didn't smell the best right then. "Anyway, yeah I'm down for that kind of day, I would love to see you and kick it. My place?" She questioned looking around her messy flat. Okay she was going to have to get some cleaning done, but it was doable. Maybe kick some things under the couch, shove some stuff in closets, it would be fine. She looked down at herself, yeah she'd have to fix that up too, still it would be fine. Plus she had a great takeout menu they could order off of, usually she called in and told them it was for one, but this would be first time she could say it was for two! They knew her by name, that was how often she used their services.

Weeks past and the couple's connection grew deeper and deeper. Even when they weren't together, they still found time to message each other daily, do some late-night Facetime calls and even a meal here or there. They were both so busy with their lives, yet they found time for each other., It was one morning on a day off that Levi had that the energy just felt... perfect, So Levi pulled her phone off of the charger and found her and Koa's text thread. Today felt like a perfect day to do something that the two of them had been talking about for a while.

She scratched her cheek in her sleep, her blankets were tangled around her legs, revealing a skimpy tank top and a half bare belly. Her eyelashes fluttered open as her phone dinged, someone had messaged her. She half-blindly searched around the bed for her phone, her hand moving sheets and blankets, as her legs were locked in place by the twisting and turning she'd done in her sleep the night before. Finally her hand found a hard surface that was vibrating, "Fucking finally," She muttered to herself as she brought the phone closer to her face, she swiped up and went to messages, a smile crept over her face. It was from Levi, Koa quickly typed a reply back,

Morning! Ugh just woke up. Long night at work, I am SO free. I vowed to take a couple of days off since I worked my ass off yesterday. What are we doing? :)

Koa dropped the phone onto the bed beside her, then went to untangling her legs, damn herself and her sporadic sleeping habits. A good two minutes later she got out of the blankets and was standing in her bathroom brushing her teeth. She found it went better if she did things while waiting on a reply from Levi, otherwise, she just kept swiping up on her texts, rereading all of their texts over the past month. She flossed, and went through her face routine. She ignored the black eye that she was sporting from last nights events. It took her a few minutes to get everything back in place, then she went in search of clothes. Pulling out a pair of black cargo pants, and a white tank top. She pulled them on, one after the other, jumping to get the tight fitting pants on. Damn but it was worth it, they made her ass look fine as hell. She put her hair up in a messy bun and then went to lay on her stomach on her bed as she awaited Levi's reveal of what they would be doing today.

By the time Levi heard Koa's ringtone go off, she was stepping out of the shower. Levi grabbed a towel off of the rack and she scanned her phone's screen, reading her girlfriend's response. A slow smile unfurled with each word that she read, awww her girlfriend worked so hard. That's one of the things that Levi really admired about Koa: her drive to get things done by any means necessary. It showed Levi that the woman had dedication. Maybe she would pick something up for Koa to help her relax from work since she had a few days off. Levi pressed on her phone screen, opening up the text thread, her fingers flying over the glass to type a reply.

Good, Red ❤️ you deserve some rest. You work so hard ❤️️ My sibling is on their school break!! Maybe we can do that little get together we've been trying to plan with you, myself, Nate and Ama. Levi hit send and she put the phone back onto the counter before patting herself dry lightly, reaching over to one of the many nozzled containers on her bathroom counter, dispensing the lotion that she preferred. After spreading it all over her body, making sure her skin was moisturized, she brushed her teeth and did her skincare routine before putting on her robe and exiting the bathroom. Levi wandered over to her closet and started to put outfits together in her head, deciding to go for a slightly dressed down look while waiting for her girlfriend to return her message.

Koa was kicking her feet in the air as she awaited a reply, she was also scrolling Pinterest, looking at recipes that might work for a small get together. She wanted to have Levi and her friends over sometime, and in order to do that she would need a recipe for more than just one. She could order in, take out was her main source of food here lately, but she wanted it to feel genuine. In order for that to happen, she felt that she needed to cook the food, to put her own hard work into it. Her phone dinged, and a message appeared, she touched the bubble to make it larger, a smile growing on her face the more she read.

I'd love to meet your sibling today! Lets do it, I could have a picnic made for us and we could go to the beach? Meet your sibling and their friends there? I could pick you up in a an hour or so? Then we could pick up the food and head out. Or do you need more time?

Koa was excited to spend the day with Levi, it would be just what she needed, and she would be able to finally meet her family. Which was certainly important to both of them. She sent a quick text to Nate, letting him know that she had need of him for the day and to blow off whatever plans he had. He quickly texted her back with a 'hell yeah' and some emojis. Koa got up off the bed and put on her combat boots. She went in search of a bikini and board shorts, a towel, sunscreen, and a few ziplocks for her their phones on the beach. That way sand didn't get into their cases. She was busy preparing for the beach as she waited for Levi to reply.

Levi was looking over her closet, a puzzled look on her face as she tried to piece together an outfit. Her phone played Koa's ringtone, shaking her out of her thoughts. Levi's eyes scanned the message and rushed to reply to plans that were being set for her day.

An hour is perfect and that sounds divine babe. Let me message Ama and we'll move from there? You pick the food and I'll bring a bottle of wine or something? What do you and Nate usually drink? Or drinks on me when we get to the beach?

Levi sent the message and moved over to her summer clothes. She was feeling something colorful today so maybe an orange, purple or yellow would do? Levi resumed her quest for an outfit now that the location had changed.

Koa stuffed the large tote bag full of all the things that she deemed necessary for a beach trip. She could pack an overnight bag with the bare essentials, but get the girl to go to the beach? She had everything but the kitchen sink packed. Her phone dinged, she dove for the bed and picked up the phone, quickly reading over what her girlfriend wrote, she typed out a reply with a wide grin on her lips,

You can bring wine, or we can get drinks there. Its up to you babe, also Nate drinks literally anything. He said he's excited to hang out with you! I just can't wait to see your face, to kiss those beautiful lips and to hold your hand. I hope everything goes without a hitch! XoXo

Koa hit send and then began taking things out to the truck, including snacks, towels, sunscreen, and the like. She figured they could stop by her restaurant for a premade picnic basket, large enough for all of them of course. She hopped into her truck and got it started, she wanted to take it through the car wash before heading out to pick up Levi. It would take her a bit to get there with traffic as well, so she knew that she had better get her errands done quickly.

Time passed and the two grew closer. Levi would come over to Koa's and they would stay up, make pancakes and slow dance in the kitchen one night. The next, they would be out in LA, enjoying the city in its entirety. The next, they were over at Levi's, doing facemasks, watching movies and just talking. They stayed up texting, facetiming (falling asleep while facetiming often) and it felt nice. They both were busy, but they also made time for each other. They knew that they could depend on each other if they needed. Plus, Ama really loved Nate and Koa. It was the perfect balance.

It was Saturday and usually Levi would be getting ready for work, however the club was still closed due to renovations. Instead, she was working on her painting that she had started some weeks ago of Koa. The woman dipped her paintbrush into the bright red that she was using for the hair color and put it to the canvas, Levi making the strokes light. She wanted the color to be built, not just just slapped on there. Levi wanted it to be intentional.

Just as she was getting lost in the painting, Levi's phone rang with Koa's ringtone. A smile flourished over her features as she finished with the portion that she was working on and Levi put her paintbrush in the cup of water that she had next to her paints. She slipped the phone out of the pocket of the apron she was wearing. "Hello?" She answered gently, wiping her hands on the apron and holding the phone between her shoulder and her ear.
