Ouch. Levi felt like she had hit a soft spot when she asked Koa about her childhood. Levi watched as Koa’s body language shifted. It was more guarded and more defensive as Koa started to tell Levi about her childhood. As the model sat there and listened to Koa, she felt her heart break for the girl sitting across from her. She knew a thing or two about having to go through some homes, Levi and Amalee had to due to the lifestyle that their parents had been a part of. Levi gave Koa’s hand a little squeeze as if it was to say “Say no more, I understand.” It looked like Koa wanted to change the subject so Levi answered the question that Koa posed earlier. “I post them mostly on Instagram. There are some I’ve posed for that are on some calendars,” Levi chuckled.

Levi paused as the same question that she posed to Koa was thrown back to her. Levi took a sip of her wine and kept the glass in her hand as she opened her mouth to answer. What to share and what not to share? Her parents were in the life of the mafia. Her childhood consisted of a lot of parties and secret meetings. A lot of women around her, protecting her. But also a lot of good memories with her parents. She felt comfortable enough to share with Koa some of the details of her childhood. “My childhood? I grew up on the East Coast. Honestly, my childhood was cut short. My parents ended up passing when I was young, so my sister and I ended up moving in with a family friend. From there, it was a blur,” at this point, Levi paused and closed her eyes for a moment as some sour memories surfaced. Levi opened her eyes and she gave a small smile over to Koa. She continued,”From there we ended up moving here and now we’ve been living here for the past three years. My sibling is thriving, loving that they’re coming into their craft and we just love it here. Much like you, I’m very attracted to the culture of LA. It reminds me of a melting pot.” Levi took a sip of her glass and realized that it was empty. Her nerves were getting the best of her... plus talking about her past life always made her a little uncomfortable not to mention that her time was on consignment anyway. Levi shook her head, in an attempt to clear her thoughts. “Let’s switch topics though, shall we? Have you ever travelled outside of the United States? If you haven’t, where do you want to go?”

Koa taking notice of both of their empty glasses, poured them each another glass of wine while Levi took her time explaining some of her childhood. It sounded like a sensitive spot for both of them, maybe they could revisit it later, maybe not. She felt for Levi and squeezed her hand as they settled into a new topic.

She shook her head, “No I haven’t had the pleasure of taking a trip out of the US. There are so many places that I would love to see...” She thought about it a moment, setting her chin in her hand, elbow on the table. Probably not very mannerly, but Koa was a person about comfort when she had the opportunity. Which was rare. “I’d probably say Italy or France, mostly because I want to eat all of their food and drink wine at any time of the day that I want without being judged. What about you? Have you been out of the country, or would you like to go out of the country?” If this girl said she wanted to take a trip anywhere Koa was going to make it happen. Even if it took all of her savings. She wanted to make Levi happy, she already yearned to see her smile, to her laugh, to make her forget her childhood and just live. And maybe she herself needed a little bit of that too.

Levi watched as Koa filled their wine glasses back up and something about that simple action was really doing something for her. Like yes it was such a small gesture, but Levi saw how considerate it was. It was sweet. Levi felt Koa squeeze her hand much like the upcoming model had done moments before for the other woman. It’s like they saw each other. Maybe they would revisit it when they were ready to but that would be way later. It sounds like both of their upbringings had been complicated to say the least. Hopefully if that conversation were to happen between the two of them in depth, that it would bring both of the women some semblance of comfort and peace.

Levi moved from her thoughts and focused on observing the firey haired woman that was sitting across from her as she gave her answer. The body language changed from being defensive and went to being relaxed and comfortable. It was a safe assumption that Koa didn’t get nights like this often and that she didn’t get to let her hair down in her every day life. It made Levi want to provide that special place where Koa could be goofy, laughing and not have to worry about being at the top of her game. That she could be just a woman who wanted simplistic things like going out of the country and enjoying food and wine.

“I can definitely see you in Italy off of the coast in a sea side restaurant enjoying some traditional gnocchi and Italian wine. Or in France walking down the streets and looking in the shops,” Levi said as she looked over at Koa with a soft smile. “As for me, I have only been to Mexico. I would love to travel more places because the world is so beautiful and there are so many different people to meet and experiences to have. It’s so fascinating.” Their conversation was interrupted by a waitress coming dropping off a large bowl of exquisitely plated pasta along with two separate plates. “Thank you, this is beautiful,” Levi said, looking in awe at the plate. She almost did not want to eat it because of how picturesque it was, however this girl was also starving. Levi unfolded the linen napkin and silverware set she had been and she set the napkin in her lap delicately. She then went in with her fork and knife and cut a bite sized piece of the ravioli off of the steaming pile and held the fork with the food on the end in front of Koa’s lips. “Take a bite babe,” Levi said in a sultry tone.

Italy would be fun to see, and all of the pasta, Koa’s mouth watered just thinking about it. So she’d been to Mexico? Was it for business or pleasure, she wondered. “I’d like to travel too,” Koa mentioned after the waitress had left. Their food was steaming before them, Koa couldn’t wait to dig in, she was just about to put her knife and fork into one of the large pieces of ravioli when Levi cut off a bite size piece and actually was feeding her, damn if that wasn’t the most romantic thing someone had done for her. She opened her mouth, just enough for the food, and wrapped her mouth around the fork in the most sensual way she knew how, she closed her eyes as she chewed and ‘MMmmed’ at the end. Opening her eyes she smiled at Levi, “That was amazing. Here you try some, “She cut up a piece, then went to feed Levi in the same fashion that Levi had done for her. She kept a hand beneath the fork in case any spilled over, she wouldn’t want any food to get on the magnificent outfit Levi had put on.

Levi watched as Koa ate the piece of pasta and let out a low “mmmmm” sound. Whew...Goddamn, what did she do to hear that sound again? Levi’s face gained a little bit of a color as Koa opened her eyes and made eye contact with Levi again. “That was amazing,” the model heard Koa say as she finished the bite of food. As Levi was about to say something, she found herself with Koa holding out a piece of the pasta on a fork in front of her mouth, returning the favor. Levi blew lightly on the piece of pasta to cool it down and, whilst making eye contract with Koa, took the bite and also let out a low “fuck that’s good.” She closed her eyes and savored the flavors. The sauce was tangy, the pasta was cooked to perfection and seasoned with sage and rosemary. It was absolutely divine.

Levi opened her eyes back up and smiled over at Koa. “Thank you, that’s honestly one of the best things I’ve put in my mouth,” she said and she took a swig of water. Moving back to what they were talking about, Levi piped up, “I have a friend who owns a travel agency. Maybe we can give her a ring? She plans the most amazing trips. Remind me to give you her number before we part for the night, you would not regret working with her. It’s actually funny that you said you wanted to go to Italy because I think she just got done planning a trip for there for some of her other clients.” Levi cut off another piece of the pasta and she took the bite, the pasta being just as good as it was the first time. She was definitely going to have to let the chef know that the food and service were exquisite. Just as Levi was putting her fork and knife down on her plate, her clutch started to buzz lightly. A puzzled look on her face, Levi pulled her clutch into her lap and looked at the caller id, her brows furrowing slightly. At this time of night? Why would they be calling right now? She needed to pick this up. “Will you excuse me for a minute, gorgeous? I need to take this,” she said as she put her purse on the table and wiped her mouth with the napkin that she had been provided. “I’ll be right back.”

Koa had to agree the food was good, but watching her dates reaction was even better. They were going to have to be careful, she was already wanting to dance with Levi, but her tasting food was making her want to be closer to the her all the more. She said it was the best thing she’d put in her mouth, yeah well she could think of other things that could go in that pretty mouth. She blushed at her own thoughts. Levi was talking about a friend she had in the traveling business, Koa rose both brows. A trip to Italy would be like a dream come true. Koa was about to tell Levi that she would only make the trip if she was going to go with her, but Levi got a call and excused herself. “Yeah, okay,” She replied while eating her food, Levi had looked surprised by the caller. She wondered who was interrupting their date, maybe it was her sister or something? Or a work thing? Koa checked her own phone, she had a million texts that she needed to reply to, but she wasn’t going to worry herself with that right then.

Levi left her clutch on the table and was walking out of the restaurant when she answered her phone. “Someone from Taconic Women’s Prison is trying to connect call with you. Will you accept the charges?” The message said. At this point, Levi had made it outside and to a private spot. “Yes,” Levi answered as she leaned against the concrete wall of the restaurant. The dial tone rung and rung... and rung until the call connected.

“Ali,” the voice on the other line said. “Delia, how are you?” “I’m doing okay, how are you honey?” Delia said with a deep sigh. “I’m doing great actually,” Levi said, a smile forming on her face. “Amaya’s doing great too. I told you they’re non-binary now right?” “Yes dear, it’s a bit of a learning curve for me, but I’ll get it right,” Delia said, chuckling lightly. The laughter subsided and the tone got serious. “You know I wouldn’t call this late if it wasn’t important....Ali, it’s almost time.” “Wait already?” Levi said, a little panic in her voice. “Yes my dear, they’re actually letting me out for good behaviour.” A moment of silence passed between the both of them before Levi spoke up. “How long do I have?” Levi asked. “7 months, a little more.” Levi took a deep breath and let it out. “Maybe it would be better if Ali and Amaya were just left dead... Levi and AmaLee are doing great on their own,” Levi said, her hands getting clammy. “I’m on your side darling, I don’t want you to go back to that life, not after what you had to do to leave it... but you’re-“ “I know,” Levi said. Levi sighed into the phone and pinched the bridge of her nose with her free hand. “You’ll call me when you’re almost out, right?” “Absolutely, honey,” Delia said. Levi let out another breath. “Okay...I’ll talk to you soon, I love you,” Levi said. “I love you too hun.” Soon after the line went dead. “Fuck,” Levi muttered to herself as she locked her phone and began to walk back inside. A million and one thoughts were reeling in her head as she was walking back to the table that Koa and her were sharing. Levi took another deep breath and let it out as she slid back into the shared space with Koa. “Thank you for waiting. I appreciate it,” Levi smiled over at Koa. Her thoughts would have to be sorted out later, right now Levi was enjoying her time with a beautiful human... at least what was left of it that she had. Would she have to seperate herself from Koa when the time came? Something in Levi was telling her that she wouldn’t be able to. Would Koa want to go with her? Now Levi was getting ahead of herself. Levi shook her head slightly and closed her eyes. She needed to calm her thoughts. Levi took a deep breath and let it out of her mouth. The model took one more and let it out again through her mouth. Levi opened her eyes and smiled over at Koa again, “Now what were we discussing before we were rudely interrupted?”

Koa moved her food around on her plate, growing worried for Levi. The phone call was taking a while, hopefully not bad news? She wondered if she should go looking for her date. Would that be rude? Or sweet? Or maybe stalkerish ? Wow real dating was complicated. Koa shook her head and concentrated on taking another bite of food.

Levi walked back to the table and looked slightly distraught. She was taking some deep breaths, Koa almost stood up and asked who’s ass she had to kick. Instead she took a deep breath herself and answered the question, “Italy. We were discussing Italy, I was going to say you have to go with me. There’s no way I could go without you if you’re the one recommending the travel agent,” she said teasing, trying her best to ease the tension that was set in Levi. “Hey, are you okay? Did you get bad news ? I’m not trying to pry or anything but you look worried..” Koa hoped she wasn’t seen as crossing some line or something. She was just worried for the girl she was currently on a date with. And honestly she had an arsenal of weapons and people that could make other people disappear. And she would use those connections if need be, especially for Levi.

Levi chuckled at Koa’s remarks about Italy lightly. “Alright Red, you pick some dates and we’ll make it work,” Levi then heard Koa ask if she was okay. Honestly, she didn’t know. She was happy that Delia had called, she missed her aunt. Now what her aunt had told her though... that was a different story. She also had to choose her words wisely as to not alarm her date because she had no idea who she was dealing with, as sweet as Koa was. So Levi smiled lightly and said ,” It wasn’t bad news, just gave me a lot to think about. But I don’t want to think about that right now. What I do want to think about is finishing up this lovely food and wine and dancing the night away with you.” And that was true. She needed a distraction tonight before she went and started thinking of her next move tomorrow. But for tonight, Levi was with Koa, safe and being taken care of in the best way...and that was a comforting thought to have for now.

Levi agreed to go to Italy, Koa could have done a back flip right then. They were going to possibly plan an international trip together. How crazy was that? She’d have to get a passport first of course. But that wouldn’t be hard. She realized Levi didn’t really want to talk about the phone call, so she shrugged it off, “Let’s forget about the call. Here’s to us,” she clinked her wine glass against Levi’s, “And hopefully a wonderfully night together !” Koa drank deeply before setting her glass down and eating again. Though she wasn’t going to push the subject, she still wondered what was going on. She was nosy, and if someone was doing anything to her maybe girlfriend then she was going h to be kicking ass and taking names. “I can’t wait to take you dancing,” she added with a grin, trying to lighten the mood.

Koa clinked their wine glasses together and Levi smiled back at Koa. “To us Red,” Levi said, taking a deep drink of the wine leaving a little in the bottom. She resumed eating her food and heard her date say that she couldn’t wait to take her dancing. “Honestly I can’t wait either. I’m very excited to go and see this place too.” Levi finished her last few bites of food and the rest of the wine in her glass. She wiped her face and took her clutch off of the table and opened it, looking for her mirror and lipstick color that she had on that night. She found them and opened her mirror and reapplied her lip color with ease. Levi made sure that the rest of her was okay, no food on her or in between her teeth. Satisfied with how she looked, Levi flipped her mirror closed and returned her articles to her clutch. “I’m all yours whenever you’re ready,” Levi said, her teeth gleaming as she smiled over to Koa.

So Levi was ready for the loud music, drinks, and dancing too. That was a relief, at least they could get lost in each other and the music for a while, leaving the outside world behind. They both finished their food around the same time, Koa left five hundred on the table and stood up, she took Levi by the hand and went to lead her out of the fine dining. “Did you enjoy this place?” She asked as she gave her ticket for her truck to the valet, they waited for the truck to be brought around. Koa helped Levi in and went to the drivers side, she tipped the driver and slid in. “Time to have some fun,” she said excited. She couldn’t wait to be moving her body against Levi’s, maybe they’d take some shots too. Body shots sounded even sexier but she doubted that that would happen in the club, unless. Nah it would be too crowded. Still, it was nice to think about.

“I did, if you ever get the chance please give the chef my compliments. It was phenonenal,” Levi said as Koa helped her into the car then came around the driver’s side. Koa was right. It was time for some fun. Levi would be in her element under the lights of the club, next to the people she didn’t know, getting close to her date. She was excited to see it because if the club was aesthetically pleasing, maybe she could suggest that it be the place for the next photoshoot she had. But that was something that Levi could think about tomorrow. Tonight, she was with Koa and that’s all that mattered in this moment.

“I’ll give your compliments to him tomorrow,” She promised, Koa weaved in and out of traffic, going further downtown, the club was brand new, she couldn’t wait to check it out for the first time with Levi. The city lights were their own kind of beautiful, Koa admired the city, she thrived in the busyness of it all. “Have you been to any clubs here yet?” She asked Levi, curious as to how much of the city she’d been exposed to. Koa felt like she knew the ins and outs of the city because of the work she did. She was always traveling somewhere, meeting someone. It wasn’t always the happiest of meetings, but she still enjoyed the rides that she got to take.

Levi nodded,” Yeah I have. I’ve mainly been going over to the clubs only in West Hollywood and some house parties in Beverly Hills. My best friend and I love going and putting people on to new places to go. She’s an influencer like me so wherever she says go, people definitely flood,” Levi said. “I’m assuming you’ve been to almost all of the clubs here, seeing as how you’re well connected you are. Which ones are your favorites?” As the couple drove, the city glistened. Levi observed as couples and groups of friends were dressed for a night out on the town. Some were stopping at the food stalls to grab a quick bite before their night, others were walking hand in hand and some were just sitting on a bench on the side of the street just watching the life teem through the city. It made Levi smile and then turn back to Koa, her eyes dragging over the other woman slowly, thinking about what could be and where they could go.

So she’d been around, that was cool. Koa was slowing down in traffic, they were headed toward the club, it was about a block away. She was definitely going to pay for a valet, there were just too many people already parked on the streets. “I’ve been to quite a few yeah, work requires some clients,” She used the word vaguely, “Be met in clubs and sorts, or we have to find them entertainment while we work out agreements or contracts.” She was almost to the valet line, “I would say that Warwick and Exchange are my two top favorites, what about you? Do you have any favorite haunts yet? Maybe we could check them out together sometime,” She smirked, thinking of future dates with the woman beside her. There would be plenty more dates if she had any so in the way things progressed between them. The chemistry was undeniable.

Levi’s heart fluttered at the prospect of going out again with the other woman and she really liked that Koa was adamant about it as well. “I’ve heard of both of those, but I have never been. Let’s go sometime?” Levi said, biting her lip and dragging her eyes over the other woman, confirming that she would enjoy seeing Koa again and them going out again. “It’s actually an event that’s done in different locations. It’s cool, it’s called Rosé. It’s in different places every month and it’s super exclusive. We’ll go next time they announce it,” Levi said, shifting her body so that she could look at Koa fully. The chemistry between the two of them was intoxicating and honestly Levi wanted more of it. She wanted to see more of the other woman next to her. Something about Koa was so comforting and she was very appreciative of this feeling. Levi was realizing that she was staring at Koa and she shook out of her thoughts and came back to the present, back to her date.

Koa nodded her head in agreement, “We will definitely go together sometime. It would be nice to go without it being a work thing, to relax and have fun with you,” She winked over at Levi. She listened as Levi spoke of an exclusive club, one she hadn’t heard of actually. “That actually sounds bad ass, I would love to go with you,” She stopped the truck, valets opened the doors for both ladies as they got out, she smiled and dropped her keys in the waiting hand. Quickly she went around the truck and took Levi’s hand, “We’re here!” She exclaimed, adrenaline already running through her veins, “Let’s go dance,” She pulled Levi toward the entrance, skipping a long line of waiting people, the two were let in by a tall, almost amazon looking woman, she gave Koa a nod as they entered the hallway that went to the club. The music was pounding, the bass was astounding. “Drinks or dancing first?” She half yelled to Levi.

Levi smiled at the thought of the two of them taking pictures and having different experiences together. Koa was right, it would be nice to relax and have some fun with the other woman. Koa wanted to go to the secret club! Oh that would be so fun. It was going to be cool trying to find it and then dancing the night away under whatever new theme they provided.

Soon they were pulling up to the club that Koa had talked about. From first glance, the club gave a classy but still entertaining feeling. It seemed that Goldie wanted LA's elite crowd and it seemed to be working, as she saw some of the girls she had worked on shoots with going in. Levi would have to say hi and take a shot with them later if time allowed. Levi took Koa's hand and she was being guided towards the club's entrance, moving past the tall beautiful security guard. They slowed down as they entered the hallway leading to the area overlooking the large dance floor packed with people body to body. The bass greeted her like an old friend, pulsing through her body like a heartbeat. Koa half yelled and asked what she wanted to do. Hmmm..... Did she want to dance first or did she want a drink first? She wasn't too crazy about the song that was playing right now, it was just some electronic music. Not that she couldn't get close to Koa with this music, but it wasn't the right vibe. "Let's go drink first, Red. You lead the way," Levi half yelled back, still hanging on to Koa's hand for dear life because she had no idea where she was going.

Koa threw a smile over her shoulder at Levi as she led the way to the bar. Bodies blocked their way, they literally squeezed through, never losing the grip they had on one another. The music was loud, but it did something to Koa, she was pumped to be here with her possible to be girlfriend.

When they arrived at the bar she stood on her tiptoes and tried to get the bartenders attention. It took a few tries but he eventually started making his way over to the ladies. "I want a watermelon vodka please," She shouted to the bartender, "What about you babe?" Koa asked Levi and made room for her at the bar, she did this by pushing back on the people that were trying to swamp them. Koa didn't work out for just her health, she could hold her own. She not only worked out, but took boxing classes as well. She was pretty toned, and she had some muscle. She could do what needed to be done if a fight arose, her boys called her a cobra, and she planned on keeping that title, even if they were in her friends club.

Levi followed Koa to the bar through the sea of bodies, never losing her grip on the other woman’s hand. The music may have died down slightly as they settled into the bar area, but conversations were still lively as hell.

Koa found the two a spot at the bar, making way for Levi to sit next to her. Levi slid onto the stool and thought about what she was drinking tonight. Hmmmm.... did she want to keep it to wine or did she want to spice it up? Koa had ordered a Watermelon Vodka. Playful yet when it got down to it had the ability to become intoxicating. “Can I get a Manhattan love? Thank you,” Levi half shouted to the bartender. After the bartender left, Levi trailed her eyes over her date before meeting Koa’s eyes again,” This was a good idea Red. I love the vibe of this place.”

“Ya think? I like it too,” She agreed, looking around she was impressed with the club too. The atmosphere was addictive, she found herself swaying to the music some as they waited for their drinks. Soon they were put before them, “To us,” She said and raised her glass to meet Levis. They were going to have a good night, it was going to be one to remember. “I think we’ll have fun tonight,” She added before clinking her glass with Levi’s and taking a sip of her drink, the alcohol burned going down, but it was sweet too, and it was just what she needed. It would give her the courage she would need to bring Levi out onto the dance floor. A song came on that had a good beat, she started bouncing slightly in her chair, then took another sip of her drink, she held it above her head and really began dancing next to Levi, grinning at her.

Levi smiled as Koa made a toast to the two of them. "To us, Red," Levi said for the second time that night. Levi took a sip of her drink and then took another sip as this Manhattan. For the second time that night, she had been impressed. Over the music and chatter, Levi heard Koa say that she thinks that they'll have fun tonight. "I agree, the night just keeps getting better and better." At that moment, Levi heard a song that she absolutely would not be able to contain herself. Levi finished what was left of her drink and she stood as she offered her hand to Koa. "Let's go dance, yeah? I love this song."

Kk finished her drink and set it down on the black bar top, she threw her date a grin and went with her, sashaying out to the dance floor. “Be ready,” she said to Levi before she put her hands on the air and began dancing. Damn if her date wasn’t one fine woman, she was so excited to be getting the party started. She moved in closer to Levi, her hips moving and her hands swaying in the air. The air was muggy with the heat of all the bodies in the place, but it was a good feeling dancing with everyone. She kept herself in a small bubble with Levi, making sure others noticed she was WITH someone and didn’t mistake her for a single dancer. She brought her hands down and put them on Levi’s hips, bringing her closer as they moved against one another.

Levi moved her hips to the beat of J Balvin’s Mi Gente as it played over the loud speakers. It was the remix with Beyonce so Levi started to recite the lyrics loud enough to where those around her would hear her. “Si el ritmo te lleva a mover la cabeza ya empezamos cómo es,Mi música no discrimina a nadie así que vamos a romper, Con lo mío todos se mueven, La fiesta la llevo en mis genes.” Levi moved closer to Koa as they were dancing together, their bodies in sync with the music. Levi turned so that her back was against Koa’s front and moved her hips against Koa, back on Koa’s chest. She felt Koa put her hands on her hips and damn did the woman have a nice amount of grip. Not too much, but enough to feel that it was there. Levi then turned again and put her arms around Koa’s shoulders and looked this woman in the eyes, getting as close as she could to the other that was humanly possible.

It could’ve been the booze, or it was just the natural high of being there with Levi, but Koa was feeling good as they danced with one another. Levi’s ass was basically in her lap and damn if she didn’t like that. She was putting her hand on Levi’s abdomen when someone came up behind her and danced against her back, she was sandwiched between Levi and someone else. She was tempted to swing a fist back and hit whoever it was, but then she recognized the silky voice in her ear, “Hey lovely, you here to see me?” She laughed,
“Goldie! You’re here.” She brought Levi around with her hands, so that she was chest to chest with her, “Goldie this is Levi, Levi Goldie.” They were still in sync with the music, but Koa was becoming uncomfortable with Goldie being so close so she moved away a little, Goldie reached out and pulled her back, “Aha, stop,” She said with a tight smile, she took Levi by the hand and headed toward the stairs, she figured Goldie would have a V.I.P lounge there that they could all talk in without the music being overbearing.

Levi and Koa continued to dance to the music that was blaring over the sound system, the sweat dripping off of her brow a little as the temperature rised. As the two danced, Koa ended up bring Levi chest to chest with her and face to face with the woman that she had been talking about earlier in the night: Goldie. She was absolutely stunning and honestly? Levi was a little intimidated. She knew how girls worked especially when they had history. It could either go really well or south very quickly. The two seemed amicable though so hopefully it was going to go well. As they were dancing, she could see that Koa’s face was a little pinched as if she was uncomfortable. Why? Levi didn’t even have to ask as Koa grabbed her hand and guided to her some stairs. As they were walking up, Levi ran her thumb over the back of Koa’s hand as a way to ease the nerves. The trio came to a door that was guarded by two more of the talk security guard women much like the one that was at the front of the club. They were chatting away about whatever they pleased, however upon seeing Goldie and Koa, they straightened their stances and opened the doors to the VIP lounge. There, they were greeted with a quieter space with private bar as well as comfortable lounging and space to dance if they wanted to, not to mention a nice view. Levi looked around in awe, it was amazing. Goldie had done a great job bringing her vision to life and she would definitely be returning to experience more. Now that they were in a space where they didn’t have to shout, “Nice to meet you Goldie, I’ve heard a lot about you,” Levi said, smiling over to Goldie. Levi knew she needed to make a good first impression, seeing as how important Goldie was to Koa.

Koa felt Goldies gaze on her back as they walked up the stairs, questioning, wondering. Levi’s thumb flicked back and forth over her hand and she felt an odd kind of calm as they continued. Once in the V.I.P room, and away from the music being so loud, she turned and greeted Goldie with a hug, she seemed to hold on just a smidge longer than needed, but Koa blew it off to not seeing each other in person in a while. COVID had really messed things up for people, that included friendships, she was glad the world was coming back to normal, well as normal as it could be. “Yes! Levi Goldie, Goldie Levi,” She said stepping over to Levi’s side and sliding her arm around her waist. “I hope the two of you can be fast friends, Levi is my date tonight,” And for a long time after I hope, she thought to herself.

“Hello,” Goldie said with a smile, it was her eyes that gave away something wasn’t right though. Koa wondered what was going on with her, “Any date of Koa’s is obviously welcome here, I hope that you both have fun. Anytime you’re in the area fill free to swing by,” Goldie’s voice was warm as honey as she spoke. Koa didn’t believe a word of it, it was almost like she was acting, well jealous. But that couldn’t be, could it ? Was this a mistake? Her grip tightened slightly on Levi and she tugged her slightly to have a seat with her on the couch. Koa purposely pulled Levi into her lap when they sat down, she wanted it clear to Goldie that Levi was off limits.

Levi felt Koa’s arm around her, pulling her closer to the woman with the flame colored hair. As Goldie spoke, Levi felt.... off in a sense? The words that were coming out of Goldie’s mouth were sincere but the body language didn’t match up. Goldie’s hands were bunched up with the fingers to the palms and the thumbs outward.... was Goldie jealous? She thought that Goldie and Koa were done. Did Goldie still have feelings for Koa? If that was the case, then maybe they might need to talk this out because Levi wasn’t about to back away from this connection. Levi definitely did not do entanglements so she decided that she would do what she did best: smile and dig for information.


Koa must have been feeling the same energy because soon, Levi was in Koa’s lap. Well she was here, might as well get comfortable. Levi crossed her legs and placed them over one of Koa’s, sinking a little deeper and closer to Koa as she made eye contact with Goldie. “I appreciate the offer, I’ll definitely have to bring some friends here,” and that statement was true. Goldie’s club was providing an immaculate and intimate enviornment for a night out on the town. “It would be great to have another night out here for sure. Maybe a night out with the girls or another date night would be fun. Are you seeing anyone Goldie? Because then it can be a triple date with Koa and I and my best friend and her partner. If you’re not seeing anybody, I have a plethora of single friends that are all gorgeous, handsome, whatever you fancy,” Levi suggested, giving a pearly smile over to Goldie.

Levi’s words almost made laughter bubble up our of her throat, obviously her girl had caught on to what was going on with Goldie, and she was making it a point that she and Levi were an item already so back the fuck off. Goldie smiled at them both, pretty tightly and replied to Levi, “I have my affairs, here and there. I’m sure a triple date would be fun, we should do it sometime.” It was obvious she was disappointed with how this was going.

“Thanks for letting us come up, this is a rad place, really proud of you,” Koa said genuinely, she slid a hand up Levi’s back, slowly, then stopped at her nape, she let her hand fall back down to grip her hip lightly. She was trying to reassure Levi that she was not having whatever it was that Goldie was throwing. “Can we get some drinks?” She directed the question towards the bartender. “Watermelon vodka for me,” She looked questioningly at Levi, “What’ll you have babe?” Koa had every intention of putting it directly in Goldie’s face that she had no hope of doing anything with Koa in the near future, maybe never. Koa had been meaning to make this clear for a while, and well now she had an actual reason to. Levi was the reason, she was gorgeous and cared what she thought, she cared more than just for her looks.

Levi sat back against Koa as she was caressing her. Maybe it was the alcohol talking but goddamn did that feel divine, especially with Koa’s hand sitting like that on her hip. She had to play it cool, not let Koa know that she was getting to her. Levi cleared her throat before addressing Goldie again, “Let me know when you want to plan that. Like I said, I have some friends that would love to be seen on your arm for sure and that you would like, even if it is for the night. All handpicked and perfect. I’ll get your information from Koa.” True she has pushed Goldie into a corner, but at least she knew where she stood. Goldie wanted Koa back, that was a nice way of Levi letting Goldie know that was not going to be a possibility. A warning shot if you will. She didn’t start the fights because she was a lady, but Levi damn sure did finish them.

Levi then switched her attention to the question that had been posed to her. How should she answer this? “Besides you?” Levi said in a sultry tone, letting the question hang in the air as she looked Koa in the eyes, the model biting the right side of her perfectly painted lips. “I’ll have a tequila sundown please.” She knew she was charting dangerous waters, especially with Goldie right there but Levi couldn’t care less. Levi wanted to be territorial tonight with Koa and she would let girls know that she was there with Koa, not to be talked to or having her girl be talked to either.

Goldie didn’t look all that excited to be giving her information to Koa for Levi, as a matter of fact she looked downright annoyed. She quickly covered her expression with a smile though, “Of course.” Goldie gave them both a once over before getting her own drink from the bar. “Are you both new to one another?” She asked with seeming curiosity, though Koa knew it was more than that. “Is this your first date?” Goldie snickered some.

“No actually, we’ve met before this,” Koa answered as her and Levi’s drinks were brought over. She didn’t mention that they’d only met once before this, Goldie didn’t need that information. “What about you Goldie? You must very busy with the new club opening, I do hope that you’re taking time to yourself too.” Koa forced a smile onto her lips before taking a sip from her drink. “I’ll certainly be recommending your club, this is an epic club,” Koa raised her drink in honor of Goldie, then tossed the rest back. She nuzzled her face into Levi’s neck a moment, her buzz was coming through and she was feeling pretty good. “Are you having a good time?” She whispered while Goldie conferred with some bodyguards about a situation downstairs.

Levi looked between Goldie and Koa as they were conversating and sensed the tension that was there. Geez, Goldie was playing hard ball. She really was not trying to get to know Levi at all. The model let it slide off of her shoulders as she had dealt with girls like this before. This wasn’t the first time but hopefully it would be the last.... something was telling her it would be. So Levi decided to be civil and toasted to Goldie. “Cheers to you Goldie. May your success and abundance never run.” Levi took down the rest of her tequila sundown and set the cup down.

Koa nuzzled herself in Levi’s neck. Even though they were at a club and people were all around them, she felt like Koa was the only other one in the room. Levi could feel Koa’s breath on her neck and her face gained a little color. Koa asked if she was having a good time,” Red, this is the best date I’ve been on. I’ve had such a good time but that doesn’t mean the night is over yet. We still have to dance some more,” Levi said as she nuzzled in close to Koa.

Goldie seemed to be steaming , she huffed slightly before telling the two women that she would be by later to check on them, but she had priorities in the club that required her attention. Koa barely noticed, waving the other woman off. Her priority was right there, in her arms, and she didn’t have any intention of doing much else besides making Levi happy.

“I think we should definitely dance,” Koa agreed humming happily. A song she recognized came on, she began singing some of the words before inching Levi up and getting up herself. She started dancing circles around Levi, once in a while sipping in to rub her body against Levi’s. It took her a few minutes but she eventually began dancing directly with Levi all over again as they had on the dance floor previously. Before they’d been rudely interrupted. It was their own personal bubble they were in now, it wasn’t as if other people were going to pop in now. Koa felt the rush of the alcohol and let it just take over her movements, she felt so fluid and smooth in that moment, she was undoubtedly happy to be there.

Levi chuckled as Koa danced all around her, with her and next to her. The two were moving in sync as if they knew what the other was going to do before they did it. It was like they were connected on a whole other level with each other.

As Levi and Koa danced, the music changed from dance music to a slower song, The Weeknd’s Earned It. It was honestly a nice change of pace from the bass pumping through Levi’s chest. Levi turned to face Koa and pulled Koa in close as The Weeknd’s voice played over the loud speakers. Couples were doing the same thing, just slow dancing with each other. Levi rested her head on the taller woman’s chest as the two danced, closing her eyes and listening to Koa’s heart beat, feeling at ease in the other woman’s arms.

The night before had been a kind of night that would go in the books for a long ass time. Koa woke to an empty bed, but it was okay, because she knew that one day another body would be there too. Levi and her had had so much fun the night before. She’d ended up having one of her boys pick up them, while another picked up the truck. They dropped Levi off at her house, and they’d had a really long good night kiss before she’d gotten back in and was taken home herself. Now she was waking up the day after, the sun slanting across her bed through the tulle curtains. “Mmmm,” She hummed as she lay back in the bed with a smile on her face, then she turned to get her phone and glanced at the few photos her and Levi had snapped together. She grinned before going to her and Levi’s messages,

Had a great time last night, didn’t know you had those kinds of moves babe. We’ll have to test them out again sometime... what are you up to this morning? I woke up thinking you’d be there :( imagine how sad i was to find you not there... one day maybe you will be?

Koa hit send and then pushed back the covers and went to get ready for the day. She smelled like booze, she needed to shower and get dressed for the day. She had a few meetings this morning, as well as a drop off that had to be done before noon.

After a night full of dancing, great company and a kiss to die for, Levi had to return back to the real world. She was finishing her morning meditation when the message came through on her phone. The girl finished her deep breathing and relaxed on the yoga mat before opening the message and reading what Koa had sent. She cracked a smile. Koa was so cute. She started to type out her reply

I had an amazing time with you last night Red. I could say the same for you. You surprised me. I would love to test them out again, maybe we can go to a Latin club next time? I know some good ones.

I actually just got done with my morning workout. Some meditation and yoga. Might go and get a late lunch before I have to go to work. What about you? Do you have something in mind, Red? Can't wait to see me again? ;)

Levi sent the message and put her phone on the charger as she wondered over to the closet to pick out what she was going to wear that day. Mmmmmm what color did she want to wear today? Blue? Orange?? Green? She went through her color coded closet before she settled on the red section. Red had become a favorite color of hers lately. A cute red shirt and shorts combo with heels and some cute accessories seemed to be the move for today. Levi set out her outfit for the day and retreated to her bathroom to shower and do her skincare routine.

Koa put on some music, and headed towards the shower, she put it on hot before getting in, she let the water run over her body, easing the aches and pains from fighting for several years. Not always winning either. She grabbed the tea tree oil shampoo from her shelf and began lathering her hair. She danced to Have fun at your party by Graace, rinsing she put body soap on a poof and washed up, taking her time as she thought about Levi. It took longer than usual in the shower, but she eventually got out feeling somewhat satisfied.

Koa blow dried her hair and did her face care, taking steps to make sure her skin stayed looking young. Someone got her onto a ten step Korean skin routine, and she hadn’t stopped using it since. She stepped into her bedroom with her towel wrapped around her and stopped by her closet to pull out what to wear for the day. She ended up picking out a pair of skin tight jeans, a tee, and one of her leather jackets. She also pulled out a pair of dockers boots. It didn’t take her long to get ready, she noticed a notification on her phone as she picked up on her way to the kitchen. She popped a bagel into the toaster and typed out her reply,

Levi's bathroom steamed as the girl ran her shower extremely hot. She was washing her hair as the sounds of Masego played over her bathroom speaker, the Eucalyptus on her shower head filling her bathroom with a fresh scent. Onto her shower sponge, Levi dispensed a strawberry gel and lathered it up onto herself before rinsing off and turning off her shower.

Levi used one of her towels that was hanging on the rack to dry her hair and she squeezed the excess water out of her hair before stepping out of the shower. Wiping the steam off of the mirror, she began doing her skincare, Levi considered what to do with her hair.... should she go natural today or should she do something with it? As she finished her routine with sunscreen, Levi went back into her room, her feet padding over the soft carpet that she had in her room. She looked at her outfit she had picked out for the day and decided that she would blow out her hair to give it a more sleek look. Satisfied with her decision, Levi started to head back to the bathroom but not before replying back to Koa's message that was waiting patiently there on her phone.

Levi sent the message and then locked her phone again before going back into the bathroom to get ready for her hot lunch date.

Koa pulled the bagel out and smothered it with cream cheese, she took a bite as she listened to crimes podcast. She cleaned up around the house as she ate and listened, her mind on Levi, and only partially on the speaker in her ears. When the ding went off she immediately set the books down she'd been putting back on shelves and pulled out her phone. The message from Levi made her heart flutter, she was going to meet her for lunch! She had to work later though, so did Koa. So it was good that she was busy as well, they would both have other things distracting them. She didn't know if Levi needed anything to distract her like Koa did, but if she felt half of the chemistry Koa felt then they were both pretty wound up on one another. She typed out a reply,

Koa hit send and pocketed her phone before finishing cleaning, she also needed to grab her wallet and keys before going out to run errands before their lunch.

As Levi was finishing up her makeup, Levi's phone dinged with another message from Koa.

That sounds perfect. I just got done getting ready. I have to grab some water in my water bottle and put on my shoes and be on my way. See you soon Red 😉

Levi hit send on the message and she looked herself over one more time, nodding with satisfaction with how she looked. Levi debated snapping a picture for Instagram and decided that it wouldn't hurt. She opened up the camera and set the camera up how she liked it, marking the automatic timer to 3 seconds for 3 consecutive frames. Levi hit the picture button and posed in three different positions. After the mini session was done, Levi took a look at the pictures. Damn she was pretty. Levi closed her phone and slipped it into the bag that she had packed for the night with her other uniform for her job.

Making sure to clean up her vanity and her room before leaving her room, Levi closed the door behind her and made it to the kitchen. Her large iron flask water bottle sat on the counter and she picked it up, twisting off the top and filling it up with room temperature water. Twisting the top back on, Levi took a sip as she walked through her kitchen and grabbed her keys off of the hook that they lived on by the door next to her shoe rack. Finding the pair that she wanted to wear, Levi slipped them on and out of the apartment she went, locking the door behind her before walking out of the complex to the parking spot that she had been assigned. Once in her car, Levi got in and she sat her bag on the seat next to her. She pressed a button on her steering wheel, " Okay Siri, take me to Pitchoun Bakery." The car spit out an address and Levi recognized the area. It was super close to where she had to be, like literally a ten minute drive from her job. Excited, Levi backed out of her parking spot and she began her route to the cute bakery that Koa had suggested.

Koa had two short meetings before she headed out to lunch. Both had gone pretty well she thought as she made her way out of the warehouse and to her motorcycle. One of the clients she'd just taken on was going to meet her later to talk more business. Some club that she'd never been to, she would have rather of talked business over some sushi, but if this was going to guarantee more business, whatever. If she was being honest what she really wanted to do with her night was spend it with Levi, but that wasn't realistic for either of them that evening, so she was going to have to get over it and do her damn job. She got on her bike, slid her helmet on and got her bike going. She headed toward the bakery she'd suggested to Levi, hoping that she wouldn't be late, she was cutting it really close. She weaved in and out of traffic, possibly using some illegal moves as she went. L.A had the worst traffic in the best of times, let alone during a rush hour, which it was lunch rush hour.

She parked the bike behind the bakery, fitting it in the alleyway easily, she left her helmet on the bike and began walking around the building to get to the front. There wasn't a line, thank goodness, she went inside her eyes searching for a certain person. Where was she? Maybe she hadn't gotten there yet? Levi pulled her phone out of her back pocket and began texting Levi.

As she pulled into a parking spot near the bakery, she checked the time. It was 3:50 and she needed to be to work by 5:45. She got out of her car and locked it, clicking the keys.

Levi was walking up to the bakery and through the open door, texting Koa as she walked, asking her where she was when she accidentally bumped into someone considerably taller than her. “Oh my goodness, I am so sorry!” Levi said, straightening herself out.

Someone bumped into Koa while she was sending a text to Levi, she turned quickly, in case she needed to help them up, only to find her hands going to steady her date. “Hey!” She grinned, bringing Levi in for a hug instead of holding onto her arms. “I was just texting you,” She said and looked Levi up and down, “Damn,” She sucked in a breath, “Hot doesn’t begin to cover it,” Her cheeks pinkened some as she looked Levi over from head to toe. “Sorry, I didn’t get all dolled up,” Koa felt bad that she’d work skinny jeans and a t-shirt, with her leather jacket over it. She’d had work beforehand, and well showing up in anything nice usually meant they were meeting big time clients, not the ones she’d been introduced to today. She would probably get a little dressed up for the club later, but nothing too fancy. “Want to order? Then we’ll pick a table?” She asked and waved a hand toward the counter.

First Levi was bumping into somebody and then she was engulfed in a fleury of red hair that smelled like pine and musk, absolutely divine. Levi stepped back and looked over at Koa and immediately a smile was brought to her face. “Hey Red,” Levi said, placing a hand on the taller girl’s chest as she looked up at her. Koa wasn’t that much taller than her, but the height difference was definitely noticeable. Levi was only 5’7” so she was adequately tall but Koa was a touch taller. It was like they fit together naturally.

Levi overheard Koa comment on how good she looked. “Babe,” She said, blushing a little bit. Levi then took a moment to openly look over her date. “Leather is a good look on you babe,” Levi said as she straightened Koa’s collar on her jacket. Koa asked if she wanted to order. “Heck yes, I’m starved. What’s good here?” Levi asked as she moved from the position that the two were sharing to moving in front of Koa, resting gently against the taller woman, taking comfort in her presence as she looked at the menu for what to order.

Koa's heart flip flopped as Levi put her hand on her chest, she openly smiled when Levi complimented her in return, "Oh... uh," Koa cleared her throat, "Food. Right," She laughed a bit lightly, "I was going to order the Quiche Lorraine, its pretty good, and then a green smoothie. What do you think? What are you in the mood for?" Koa slid her hands around Levi's waist as she leaned back against Koa, this was a perfect fit. She honestly wished the two of them could go back to the flat and just spend the day getting to know each other, in so many different ways. Instead they would take what time they could and spend it together. Damn schedules, and damn work. Maybe they could have a sleepover later in the week, she'd have to see what she had setup schedule wise. She remembered dancing with Levi, Levi's body sliding over hers like it naturally fit that way, it was making her flushed just thinking about it.

“Hmmmm that actually does sound good, but I don’t know. I think I might get some fruit and a peach smoothie, I’m not too keen on eating something heavy right now,” Levi said, nuzzling into Koa as the other woman wrapped her arms around her. Now this is something that she could get used to.“How was your day? What have you been up to?” Levi asked Koa, finding where the other woman’s hands were resting and putting hers over them, content with the company she was in right now.
