Help finding a book Please!

I read a book a few years ago about a rockstar that makes some John Mayer type comments about black women. He ends up dating a black model for PR, but in reality she's a reporter trying to catch a break. Anyways she becomes a famous model and they fall in love. I cannot for the life of me remember the name of this book.
