Books about: Creation and Apocalypse myths

I'd like to read a book that catalogues various creation or apocalypse myths around the world.
Some of the books I have found are either trashed in the reviews, their subject limited to one country, or directly compare/contrast the creation stories to science and the apocalypse to zombies, which aren't angles I'm interested in.
Any suggestions welcomed, thank you.
