I am Allison. I am random. I am also kinda creepy. I play violin and I write stuff.

That's all you need to know. *throws smoke bomb and runs away*

I'm Raevyn. I'm 13, mildly autistic, and a Christian. I write poetry ranging from stupid to pretty good. I also try to write novels. My favorite book is always changing, but let's just say it's not Monument 14! That book used to be what I'd read over and over, but now I think it's just good, and it's not well-written. :)

Brigid ✩ | 11973 comments Mod
Hello, my name is Brigid. I'm super hella old (22). I'm a college student, studying creative writing and illustration. I only have one semester of school left and then I don't know what I'm going to do with the rest of my life. I also love music and going to concerts. I can sort of play the ukulele and I'm trying to also learn guitar and piano. I also enjoy reading (of course), drinking coffee, dyeing my hair weird colors, dancing, and watching animated movies and TV shows.

message 6: by Isaac (new)

Isaac | 8014 comments I'm Hayden, a transgender teenager with Asperger's and some other mental disorders. I really like movies (before 1986 preferably) and history. My favorite person ever is Anthony Perkins and I talk about him a lot. I've been writing stories since I've first learned how to and I'm still no good at it (sigh). I'm also aromantic asexual, so I'm single forever by choice. *two thumbs up*

Sam~~ we cannot see the moon, and yet the waves still rise~~ | 3061 comments i'm sam. i'm nineteen. just realized that i'm going to be twenty in a month, which is kind of freaking me out. don't listen to hayden, she's amazing at writing stuff, especially poetry (and i'm not just saying that). i write short stories because i don't have enough of an attention span for a novel. history's pretty rockin'. i'm jealous of brigid's ukelele playing. yeah. *shrugs*

message 8: by Alina (new)

Alina (alinapink-rose) | 331 comments Hey, I'm Alina and I'm 16. I love poetry (especially what you guys come up with here at YW ;) ), reading books, and writing my own. I actually have a book fairly written out and planned, I'm just a little hesitant to post it on here, I guess. *nervous smile* I'm not particularly talented in an instrument, but I really envoy Brigid's talent. I love music and I'm ambidextrous.

message 9: by Allison (last edited Jan 05, 2015 06:39AM) (new)

Allison | 679 comments Okay, I guess I can take a stab at it.

I'm Allison, I'm 14. I enjoy playing violin and piano and singing and I write poetry, mostly, though I am working on a couple novels. I am contemplating doing a novel in verse. I also like to draw and act. I am really bad at any sport and I think they're a waste of time. My best friends ever are guys and we play Dungeons and Dragons a lot and I'm normally the one that gets proposed to/flirted with by the bad guys, which is definitely not fun. I am socially awkward. I mostly listen to Lindsey Stirling, Piano Guys, Jenny Oaks Baker, Paul Cardall, Garth Brooks, Imagine Dragons, Taylor Swift (old stuff), and Rascal Flatts. I am a Mormon and I love it! (Our church name is technically The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but that's kinda a mouthful, so Mormon or LDS is fine.) I also knit and sew and I have 3 pages of inside jokes. (Yes, I've written them down.) Oh, and I read a lot. And I have glasses and. I would be a ginger if not for my brown hair. So my friends count me as a ginger in disguise. And I technically don't have a soul because my friend Maija stole it. She's a true-blue ginger.

Did I do okay??

message 10: by Alina (last edited Jan 05, 2015 08:18AM) (new)

Alina (alinapink-rose) | 331 comments You did better than me!

I actually also play a RPG game with my brothers. It's called Rifts, technically the future version of D&D. But we do come across some characters that my dad had played when he played D&D. My brothers are actually some pretty evil characters, but have been doing some pretty good stuff. :P And I'm that conflicted, can't choose between good and evil character. Do you mind if I PM you about your character and what you all do in your game?

You're Mormon?? Goodness gracious, I know so many Mormons. Which isn't a bad thing, my Mormon pals are the best pals I've had, but wowza, you are now part of the long list of Mormons I know.

There was a topic on this group a looooong time ago where members of the LDS just went on and discussed things. Some of them don't log on anymore, but you are in good company.

Sam~~ we cannot see the moon, and yet the waves still rise~~ | 3061 comments I didn't know any Mormons before I went on here.

... I was thinking this would kind of be cool to make a writing exercise out of.

Like instead of just saying what you are like and what you do and all that make a story thing out of it? Like you're describing a character?

Or is that weird?

message 14: by Allison (new)

Allison | 679 comments That would be cool. Not weird at all.

@Alina: I also do a form of D&D my friends came up with...but it's My Little Pony version. It's...interesting.

@Hayden: I bet I can beat you with how many Mormons I know, being in Utah and all:) And yeah, I've seen a couple Mormons posting on here besides me. Then I felt lonely when they stopped getting on.

Oh, that would be cool. I've always wanted to write about other people too, though. That'd be a fun exercise.

SO I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT NOTICED. There are so many Mormons on Goodreads. It's nice talking to you all. I didn't know any Mormons before Goodreads (although this year, there's suddenly 4 Mormon kids at school I interact with a lot).

message 20: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) My internet name is Roxanne, cuz I love the name and my real name is boring as heck. I waste most of my time obsessing over Yaoi/Yuri couplings, watching anime, playing video games, and roleplaying. (And I'm damn proud of it too!) I'm almost always writing something, whether that's a chapter of my book or some fanfiction. I love to eat chocolate, onions, and pasta (though obviously not mixed together). I'm pescaterian for moral reasons. My favorite animal is a pig; I have a collection of piggybanks and stuffed toys at home. I'm straight, but an avid supporter of the LGBTQ community. My favorite color is turquoise, but I strongly dislike aqua and teal. I love my twin sister, Deathshipping, and my OCs. I'm always open to art trades.

message 21: by Mindy (new)

Mindy Diamond | 190 comments Hi my name is Mindy, I'm 21 and love reading and writing. I'm currently working on my novel set in medieval England, and am enrolled in college for psychology and literature. My greatest inspirations are J. K. Rowling, Oprah Winfrey, Mara Wilson, and Emma Watson. All people who follow their passions and strengthen themselves through their obstacles. I am very open-minded, and nonjudgemental, believing everyone outs entitled to their own opinion , while still having my own opinion which I believe in strongly

message 22: by Sum (new)

Sum | 846 comments My screen name is Maya and my activity on gr is sporadic at best. I will disappear for months at a time. Currently 18, going to college next year, I've put all my hopes on this one university so I hope that works out in terms of tuition on such. I want to study engineering but don't know which type yet, perhaps mechanical.

I really like talking about myself. I'm also Muslim, and Indian and besides English I know Urdu and Arabic pretty well. Not completely trilingual but I'm getting there. I go to a small Islamic private school which is fun.

Even though my participation isn't top-notch my experience on gr has exposed me to different viewpoints and different kinds of people. And of course books, I really love books.

Anyway, I love to read, write (I've completed 11 novels, and I'm currently plotting my 12th), sing, cycle/mountain bike, and hike! I'm in college with BYU-I online, and I'll be moving somewhere in the USA in May once my fiance is transferred to a currently unknown destination for his new job.

Yaa (mediocreatbest) | 151 comments Hiya. I'm Yaa. 20. Ghanaian. I love writing, anime, mangas, listening to music, playing the piano and baking. I have too many hobbies and too little time lol

Unknown poet (Anna) (unknown_poetanna) Hi I'm Anna, I love to read and write (I have some of my writing on goodreads) I do not have a favorite book since other books would get jealous, but I have read Rules, Out of My Mind, A Little Princess, and See you at Harry's, at least 10 times each. I never buy a book before I've read it, but I have a collection of warrior cat books. I have a lot of odd allergies, including cats, dogs, trees, and grasses which is extremely ironic because I love animals and nature. I am fluent in Spanish as well as English, and am learning French very slowly, as well as actively learning sign language. My favorite genere is fantasy because it's not the real world, though I like to read books that are realistic too. I play the clarinet (but not at school since I can't really march with my allergies). My biggest inspiration for writing poetry is my sister, and the bullying I went through and still am going through. When I go to college I want to double major in biology/zoology and Spanish. My dream job would be working in South America with the effort to help the environment (if that's even really a job). I enjoy spending my time (when I'm not reading, writing, or playing my clarinet) finger knitting, singing slightly off key (my sister says I'm super off key) trying to learn to play the piano, running, sleeping and geeking out about Star Wars. I'm a Girl Scout, and active member of my church youth group. If I'm not doing anything above, I'll be silently planning my take over of the world.

Hello! I'm Kaitlyn and I am a teen country girl in the beautiful state of Maine. I hope to have a career in Ornithology someday, at least complete a big year or go on an expedition to see the Wandering Albatross. I'd prefer not to go to college so my field in career may be limited but I'll never give up finding a way around. I currently have about 20 chickens and I try to build the means of agriculture. I love nature and meeting new people, holding random conversations and being there for a friend! This is a very nice little group and I enjoy it already.
