OH brother!!! Just realized I read my first book in MAY. What is wrong with me??? THAT is exactly how turned around life is at the moment. Sigh... Will pay better attention in the future.

Teri | 6 comments I finished The Sign of the Nine (Warlock Holmes #4) by G.S. Denning , definitely not my favorite of this series, but I will read the next one.

Teri | 6 comments Finished the Bonus Lethal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #3; Demonica, #8) by Larissa Ione , I didn't like one of the MCs but this has a ton of side characters that I find interesting.

Denning and Lethal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #3; Demonica, #8) by Larissa Ione , the first book, from the "old list" is no longer available at my library, if you have a chance, could you choose another? Thanks!

Connie N. | 685 comments Thanks for the pick, Theo! I finished:

The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde - 6/18/20 ♥♥♥
The Eyre Affair (Thursday Next, #1) by Jasper Fforde

It has such cleverness in the character names, the inventions, and the storyline, I had many chuckles throughout.

Connie N. | 685 comments Thanks for the picks, Theo, I liked them both. Not sure if I'll get to the bonus, but I've added it to my TBR.

Theo picked for me: The Eyre Affair (Thursday Next, #1) by Jasper Fforde The Heartbreaker (Chandler Brothers, #3) by Carly Phillips

The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde - 6/18/20 ♥♥♥

I don't know any of your books so I just went by covers I liked.

I pick Kingfisher by Patricia A. McKillipRed at the Bone by Jacqueline Woodson

For your bonus I noticed this book was on your TB..."

Danielle, I got both but not the bonus this month.

Red at the Bone was gorgeously written (and only 190 pages), and I recommend it to anyoneand everyone.
Kingfisher is the oldest book on my TBR list so I am glad to read it but it was kind of average and a bit rambling.

Ezinwanyi will there be a July Dusty Bookshelf?

message 114: by Marty (new)

Marty (martymill) | 1300 comments Finished: Marley A Novel by Jon Clinch - 6/27/2020

This was so slow moving at the beginning and the two main characters were so awful, I really thought about giving up on it. Belle Fairchild and Fan Scrooge were the only reasons that I kept up with it. It was an interesting prequel for the original book, not one that I would have foreseen. I gave it three stars, because I think it might grow on me if I reread it later.

message 115: by Jodi (new)

Jodi (jari-chan) Finished all three of my books.
Enjoyed Labyrinth der Spiegel (Labyrinth der Spiegelungen, #1) by Sergei Lukyanenko , not so much Orientexpress by Graham Greene and still trying for figure out if I should continue Die Monster, die ich rief by Larry Correia .

Finished Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford this morning. A lovely book.

message 117: by Karen ♐ (new)

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 2365 comments I finished both my books and loved them... Rough Edge (The Edge, #1) by C.D. Reiss and Tormentor Mine (Tormentor Mine, #1) by Anna Zaires which is so good, I'm reading the entire series of 4 books.

message 118: by Logan (new)

Logan (loganturner) | 995 comments Just managed to finish my book before bed last night. Nothing like waiting for the last minute!

Innocent in Death (In Death, #24) by J.D. Robb

This was an interesting chapter for Eve and Roarke. Loved the villain but the case was kind of a slog. Still it was fun to see a new challenge for their relationship and see some doubt in Eve’s skills by her coworkers.
