Morgan, for you I pick Tom Hanks Uncommon Type
. I'm interested to know what you make of Tom Hanks as an author. I hope you enjoy it!
Thanks Flauscheohr I am looking forward to reading it. For you I pick the Nightingale. I have it also and on my to read shelf. I look forward to hearing how you like it.
Hi all! Just checking in...I finally started the book Morgan picked for me today. I'm a bit of a slow reader, but I'm determined to finish it by the end of the month ;-) How are you doing?
I also started My Sister, the Serial Killer a couple minutes ago. I am doing another groups PIFM challenge along with ours & that book is over 600 pages.Loving it so far, feels extremely fast paced. Hope everyone is enjoying their picks so far!

I finished my book this week, as well. It was a much faster read than I expected and I kind of enjoyed it, but didn't love it. For me, The Nightingale just didn't quite live up to all the rave reviews I read beforehand, and it's just a bit too cliché and chick-lity/romancy for my taste... But I'm glad that because of PIFM I've gotten round to reading it.
I finished UnCommon Type by Tom Hanks today and I really enjoyed it. I don't usually read short stories because I like long novels, but I kept wanting to turn the page. The stories remind me of a simpler time and the stories are all different except one common theme: a typewriter is in every story. Makes me want to get a typewriter! Thanks Angie for picking this book for me!
