Finished that potter book. Fills the bad reviews box and ticks one off from the Gilmore challenge.

Maybe Harry Potter in some ways is a generation thing. I mean I love it, I grew up with it. My Mom loved it because she read it basically because I did.Finished
and it was originally published in 1990 so check for the Birth Year.Btw I can only recommend it, at least if you enjoy the whimsical a la Terry Pratchett and crazy dark fairytale a la Neil Gaiman
Oh I totally want to get my hands on the BBC version. Colin Morgan and Lou Brealey are part of the cast so its a given.
Read book by an author with same initials. A Fairy Tale of New York really enjoyed this book, it also inspired the Pogues Christmas song.So do we need a 2016 reading challenge?
SugarPop already uploaded the 2016 one, but I think I'm gonna pass. I really liked the experience this year, but I have so many books on my tbr that I want to read and can't fit into a category that I don't want to stress myself again
The side where this Reading Challenge comes fromYeah me too. I actually have some books from the list so I'll try to get to them.
And I'll completed the challenge on the last day of the year by finishing the book that scared or rather shocked me.
It also is part of the Rory Gilmore challenge.
I can also only recommend it. It is a fantastic, shocking and fascinating book.
brilliant, well done Tinka, looks like I'll be reading that book too if it is on the Gilmore challenge.
I still got a few to do, including mum's favourite. Currently reading Women for published year I was born.
Just finished Women totally amazing book, filthy too :) was written the year I was born so fits that part for the challenge and for the read your age challenge.
I'm skeptical though. Tim Burton hasn't made a truly good film in a while. But maybe the lack of Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter helps. Though I can't imagine Eva Green as Miss Peregrine (thought the character was older) or Asa Butterfield as Jacob. But we'll probably see.
I have read the book that is a play Dark LoveI have two left now. Book my mums loves and a title with an antoynmymy in it. No idea about that one.
Cheated a bit with the book your mum loves, I got her to admit she likes Val McDermind but she wouldn't say what one, Just got a "I like them all". grrrrrr so I picked the most interesting one by that author and read Forensics: The Anatomy of Crime It was a really good book, well worth a read.
I think the problem my mum has is she reads a lot of these trashy romance novels and they aren't that great, just easy to read, but none of them are good enough to be memorable, the Vale McDermind books are my dad's and luckily she read them AND could remember them. :)
