SOLVED. Fantasy, boy reads a book about a fantasy book, numbers names. [s]

This book is not the neverending story. I do not remember when I read this book. The only part of the book i remember is when a young boy finds and starts reading this fantasy book whilst he is playing hide and seek. He reads this book in the forest. The book the boy reads is about a kingdom which the queen gives births to many daughters, which the king does not want so she gives them to a witch? which lives in a forest. The children are names numbers. The children become cursed?? by the witch. I remember the boy which is reading this book becoming confused on why the children are named by numbers.
