We use homeopathics and oils for allergies. My daughter had them pretty bad this year and next year will start before allergy season to deal with them.

I love tiger balm. It's magic. Crazy Asian magic, that works and burns all my pain away into PAIN! then to relaxing.Do you use the menthol white version? Or the hard core orangey-brown stuff?

I thought this was pretty relevant for this group. I can't figure out how to make it bigger so here is the link to see it full size: http://s199.photobucket.com/user/kime...

I have both. Absolutely love the stuff. I carry the white one with me everywhere and use it for sinus probs, headaches, bites, stings, when I have a cold. The red one I use for muscle pain and I don't use it all that much. Mainly because it leaves your skin bright red and it comes off on clothes but it's there just in case.
Just wanted to put in a plug for the new show "Sense8" on Netflix about eight individuals who become telepathically linked and are hunted down by some secretive powerful agency...quite entertaining with suspense and good character building. By the guys who did the matrix trilogy. I'm about halfway through so far...it's hard to take it slowly
Sarah wrote: "Hi Marcus. Ooh that's sounds good. I'll have to check it out."There's a panel at Comic Con about that this year and I was thinking of binge watching it in advance.
Rusalka wrote: "I want a raccoon!"LOL! Amy has them come onto her patio and beg for cat food. If the cats are done, they will just move aside and let the raccoons finish it off.
Janice wrote: "That's an interesting picture, KimeyDiann. Australia would fit into USA as well."Its the comments with the pictures that make it funny... besides, I'm pretty sure USA and Canada together would fit into Russia.
I've been watching and hooked on Orange is the New Black. I just finished up S1 and can't wait to get started on S2 and then S3. No spoilers please!!!! It's not often I get hooked on a tv show especially one that I'll pass over a book to watch.

It is! I read it first and then decided to try out the show since I heard such good things about it. It's so different, I like it much better. The drama hooks you at the end of each episode.
Great pic kimeydiann! That's why we in the south of the netherlands find it very far to go to amsterdam for something. It's a 2-hour drive...I love oitnb too tasha! I've seen s1 and s2.
*waves*Just popping in to say goodbye! We leave for Cuba tomorrow and I will most likely be without internet for 2.5 weeks, so I'll see you all again in a while. I hope you'll read a lot of good books in the meantime :D
Just came back from the cinema. We watch "Inside out" with my kids. Really funny, enjoyable and recommendable!
I just saw it also, Sandra. I'm a speech pathologist and do a lot of social skills training with elementary are kids. I can't wait to incorporate Inside Out in my lessons!

I so read this as a "snog will shoo him away""
LOL!!!
Have fun Peggy.Grumble grumble. We're moored where the Internet connection is pretty poor. But hopefully I'll be able to get on now and again.
I used to watch animation before Sandra, but now its like I only wanna see documentary movies and standup comedy !! I've seen few and I really liked them, so I'm searching for more to watch :D
She might got caught up with real life Sandra.I'm in the middle of my story, every time I try reviewing it, I keep finding mistakes :(
Its harder than what I thought !
While getting ready for work this morning I was listening to the local news. The meteorologist was talking about tornadoes for some reason and he said the only place in the world that has as many tornadoes as the central US states is Argentina. The part that I found the most interesting, tornadoes in the southern hemisphere rotate the opposite direction from tornadoes in the northern hemisphere. I don't know why he was talking about that, but I thought it was fascinating trivia. Supposedly the water swirls in the opposite direction in the southern hemisphere when you flush a toilet too.
Please excuse my randomness - back to your regularly scheduled chatting now. ;)

I had no idea that Argentina gets as many tornadoes as the central US states. I didn't think they got any at all. That could be very handy to know if it ever comes up in a quiz :)
Fun and cool facts, KimeyDiann :)We drove to the North Carolina border today :) just so we could check off another state of our list of states we have been :) We brought Blake along for the ride. He is one tired dog now :)
KimeyDiann wrote: "Supposedly the water swirls in the opposite direction in the southern hemisphere when you flush a toilet too...."When I was in Ecuador, I went to the equator line. There was a guide who explained all this and the "Coriolis" effect (this is the cause). In fact, he make demonstrations and links and right from the linie, the water swirled in different directions. In the other hand, I read in a scientific report -years ago- that these supposed differences in the swirl in the north hemisphere or south were not true.
In the end I couldn't draw any conclusions

I remember the direction water swirled in a toilet or sink being up for much discussion in an X-files episode!
The first thing I do when I get to the northern hemisphere is fill a sink up and then pull out the plug. Simple things, and SCIENCE!
Speaking of science, make sure everyone checks out Venus and Jupiter tonight and tomorrow. It's the closest they'll be this year and are spectacularly bright. For me, they are visible close to sunset and in the north west (this could change depending on where you are in the world). But they are super bright and you've probably noticed them already. Really close together tonight.
If you have binoculars (or are lucky enough to have a telescope) check them out through it. You can see that Venus is a crescent (it's the brightest star) and if your hands are steadier than mine, you may be able to see 3 or 4 of Jupiter's moons.
Saturn is also visible right next to the moon as well. You may be able to make out the rings on it with binoculars as well. I tried to look it last night and moved while looking through the binoculars, while on a steep hill, and landed in a garden bed.
Do do. My uncle has reported he has a really good view of them in Meltham, up north. I could see the crescent. I couldn't see the moons. A friend of mine with a telescope and a decent camera has taken some great shots though.

I think I saw them Saturday night! My husband and I went out for a night ride on our side-by-side and the clouds were finally clearing off. I noticed two really bright "stars" pretty close together and was wondering if one of them was actually a planet. It never occurred to me that they were both planets. Its rainy and stormy here for the next couple of days so I probably won't get a chance to look for them again.
I hope you didn't get hurt during your tumble!

Thanks for telling us Rusalka. I will have a look for them tonight. I think it's meant to be a nice, clear night weather wise so hopefully we can get a good view.
It's light here till after 11:00 pm, so unless I decide to read till 2 in the morning, not likely I'll be doing any star gazing.
