Daniela (littlegiantbooks) I aim to read a minimum of 50 books. I set the same challenge last year but missed by 10 but I blame this on a gruelling year at work and changing jobs! I also plan on reading at least one classic a month as I feel my reading habits have become less challenging. I enjoy a range of genres and need to go a hustle up a list of possible reads from my enormous TBR pile.

1. The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende
2. Letter to My Daughter by Maya Angelou
3. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Frank L Baum
4. The Pure Gold Baby by Margaret Drabble

Daniela (littlegiantbooks) 3 down already...I know I'm going to slow now as I'm back to work today! Grrrr...how inconvenient!

Camille (camillesbookishadventures) What did you think of the Wizard of Oz? I read it a few months ago and found it very different from the film.

Daniela (littlegiantbooks) I have to admit, The Wizard of Oz wasn't quite what I was expecting. I've decided to use it as a set text at school and was writing a scheme of work as I was reading it. It is very different to the film (which I had been used to!) but it was ok. I was surprised by the Ruby Slippers being silver! I wonder where the change came in? I do feel a little better now that I've read another classic and can put it to bed! I'm slowly but surely trying a wider variety of books as I feel I've got a little lazy and don't explore as much as I used to.
