Okay, so I am looking for a book series I read when I was younger, so this would be around 2006-2012. It was a series about a girl who can travel to different time periods when she touches magic objects (I think in her aunts house), and meets a girl her age within this time period, who I think were all princesses. There is one I specifically remember when she goes back to ancient Egypt and has to solve riddles given to her by a sphinx. I vaguely recall there also being one where she became a mermaid, and possibly one involving a magic carpet.

Never mind! I have just found them, it's the Little Princesses series by Katie Chase.
