There is a guy sitting in a dark grey chair. The chair is made from wolf fur. He folds his hands in his lap. He has dark brown hair. It has grown wild. It looks like he hasn’t cut it in years. It has grown down to his neck. He has a beard. It is getting long too. His features are sharp and dark. His eyes are so brown that they look almost black. He has a very muscular build. He has black skin. He looks like he could tower over anyone. He stares out at the three of us.

“Did you get the last two, Icarus?” asks Grae Wolf from the big screen.

“Yes, sir.” Says Icarus, who is wearing a dark suit that matches the back of Grae Wulf’s chair.

“Good. Now please proceed with powerless.”, He smiles wickedly “I expect the powerless to be well under its way by our next little chat.”

“Yes, sir!”

“Yes, sir!”

“Yes, sir!” We all respond. Grae Wulf’s image clicks away. Icarus turns around to face us.

“Nigel, go upstairs and get the prisoners into separate chairs. Make sure to chain them to the chair by binding their wrists and ankles in our strongest steel chains. Bring them into the examination room. Xander, set up the machine. Make sure it is at full power. If all goes well, we'll have all of their powers in a container by the end of the night. I will monitor the progress from down here. Don’t disappoint me. Now go!” I scamper across the room, afraid.

I slowly climb up the three sets of stairs to the jail room because I am chubbier and not very great at stamina. My dark hair flops in my face as I climb. I am heaving by the time I reach the top. I grab the big key off the shelf by the stairway. I waddle over to the cell. I thrust the key into the lock and open it with a grunt.

The kids look up from where they are huddled. They look so scared. I wish I didn’t have to do this! They never did anything wrong! It’s not their fault they were born with powers. I grab six hostage chairs from the corner of the room. I grab the closest girl and put her into it. She cries out in pain. I twist the cuffs that are connected to the chair tightly on her wrists and lock them with a smaller key. I do the same for her ankles. I swing the second chair around and grab the second girl. I do the same to the other two girls and two boys. I grab three of the chairs and bring those kids to the next room, which is the examination room.

I come back for the rest and bring them in too. They are all lined up now. I look over at Xander and see that he is lining up the machine with where the kids are. I look back and see Iris looking at me, pain in her eyes. I really don’t want to do this to her. I have tears forming in my eyes from what they are about to go through. He looks up at me and I give a stiff nod.

“We are all ready.” Xander says into his walkie-talkie.

“Go ahead and proceed.” Says Icarus from the other end. I step over to the door, making sure that I’m out of the line of fire. Xander puts dark glasses on. He makes sure the point of the machine is lined up correctly and pulls down the big lever, starting the sequence.
