Andyruthb | 17 comments I mostly read fiction, but I like the occasional non fiction as well. In terms of genres, it all depends on my mood. I like historical fiction, I like the occasional sci fi. I love time travel. For non-fiction, usually biographies.

Andyruthb | 17 comments Its funny, but I’m also very seasonally based with my music and reading. I don’t like reading books that take place in the winter, in the summer. And vice versa. I enjoyed being part of a book club last year that forced me to read books I would never have read. Some I enjoyed, some I didn’t, but it did get me out of my comfort zone.

Sarah | 3 comments Historical fiction is my jam!!! And psychology related nonfiction as this relates to my field of work. I have branched out, sometimes with success and sometimes not. After many many recommendations I finally read a Nicholas Sparks novel and was surprised I enjoyed the romance, but I always quickly return to my beloved historical fiction!

Andyruthb | 17 comments Sarah, do you have a favourite time period? What have been some of your favourite historical fiction reads?

Sarah | 3 comments Andrea - without a doubt, WWII timeframe!

Sarah | 3 comments Recently I read Lilac Girls and absolutely loved it. Ken Follett is a favourite, especially his Century Trilogy. Kristin Hannah’s The Nightingale is a favourite as well!

Andyruthb | 17 comments Lilac Girls is on my “want to read” list! I like different time periods for historical fiction, as long as the writing is well done.

Andyruthb | 17 comments With everything going on in the world right now, are there any recommendations for books on Black or POC representation and/or experiences? POC authors who write about their experiences, either fiction or non fiction, that should be read? I recently read Ragged Company by Richard Wagamese, and it left a great impact. Would like to be introduced to more...
