Chocolat question

It's a long time since I read this, so forgive me that I can't remember the details, but I am trying to remember what book the following quote came from (or words to this effect!) and I thought it was from the chocolate shop owner in this book who was trying to matchmake people: ''The best way to get two people together is to tell each person that the other one likes them.''

In the book she was matchmaking and getting people together by doing this, but was it from Chocolat? Thanks :)
