I don’t know when it was published or when I read it but I’m looking for a book about a group of kids who try to convince their friend that life is worth living because he refuses to come down from a tree. They do this by piling up all the stuff that is important to them. It takes a kind of dark twist and the pile of stuff eventually becomes a kind of art exhibit. Any additional help finding it would really be appreciated!
