SOLVED. SciFi. About a video game blogger after the aliens arrive, who reviews their games. [s]

The aliens have arrived, but (wonderfully!) this book ignores the central issues relating to first contact and just focuses on its effect on one person - a video game blogger who reviews games for a kind of living. On a whim he emails the aliens and ask them if they have any games he could review. To his surprise they reply sending him a complete download of a stupendously large number of games from thousands of species of alien, many long extinct. He then proceeds to review the games. It's funny and I've forgotten so much about it and I just want to re-read it!

I originally thought it was by Cory Doctorow (I think I may have read it ten years ago. Ish) but I've checked all his books (read most of them - big fan) and it's not. Please don't suggest Anda's game.

I think it might have been by some new writer who Cory (or someone else? sorry) recommended, in some blog post I can no longer find.

I haven't read it, but now it's on my list! I found it by Googling site:goodreads.com "blogger" "aliens" sci-fi humor "video games". Searching within the site like that is often a good way to find books.
