Reading book 1 and so far don't like it. Not sure if I am going to finish it. I'm about half way through. Does it get better and did you like book 2?

This wasn't what I expected at all, it was dark like the others but I enjoyed the story and getting into Fredriks head, even though he is a nutter!

Not! I finished it. I liked the twist with Casdia but I can't forgive (view spoiler)[ holding her fir 11 months in chains in a basement regardless. Though I do get that letting her free was letting loose a dangerous sociopath. Their love is twisted as is Frederic.
The narrator was different and I didn't like him. When did Isabelle become such a proficient in the assassin lifestyle?
