Do you have any new goals for the upcoming year? Are there new authors, styles, or genres you'd like to try? Do you have a certain number of books you'll be looking to read?

I'm fine with my habitual reading rate, 50 books per year. What I wish is discovering a wonderful completed series that makes me feel book addicted again.
My goal for books read is the same for 2015 as it was for 2014, 125 books. Its a pretty manageable number for me. My big goal is to clean up my TBR list and to read 1 classic, 2 biography/nonfiction, and 1 book I own every month.
I'd like to read more books this year. Especially since there were a number of duds this year. I'm hoping to get through the ones I already own and I'm good at using the library.
I have so many non-fiction books that I've purchased but haven't read yet. I would like to make it through some of those.I also have a ton of YA that I have purchased for my brother's 7th grade classroom library that I would like to read and send to him. While I was home during Christmas I saw the classroom library of another teacher in his building and it was huge! All I could think was: challenge accepted
And I'm with Sandra. I would love to find another series to fall in love with!
I am with Sandra with 50 books a year but I would like to add some rereads in addition to that number. I also have been very heavy in the YA category and I think I want to read a bit more adult books. I just get so intrigued by the excitement of all the YA books discussed here I have been jumping on those :)
I did not make my 100 goal this year. Got like 82 I think. Next year I'm shooting for 75, with more classics and at least 2 non-fiction books of some kind. And a couple business type books. I did get a couple in this year too.
My reading goal for 2015 is to get back to reading regularly. I want to read some of the series that I bought and never started. I want to finish some of the series that I started and never continued. I want to clean out my TBR list. And I want to read as many of the books that I already own as possible, rather than buying new stuff (with some exceptions). I am debating the number I want to set for myself as a goal for this year. 2015 is a getting back on my feet kind of year, so I think I'll go with 50 in order to leave time for other things. I can always raise it later if I feel up to it.
My goal read 35 Book and try read in new topics , Topics help me to know myself better and help me in life and work ,Try too change my clothes style and I'm will trying to find a way to re-determination, which I had in the past to lose weight and back healthy like I was in past .
My goal for this year is to just get back to reading, period. I'm shooting for 15 books this year, which would mean reading a liiittle more than a book per month. A HUGE drop from previous goals, but at least a motivator to get back to what I love. It would be awesome to read more than that though!
My goal is to read more. Also to push myself to finish books a bit faster than I usually do. I get tired very easily when reading and that makes it hard to do it as often as I want to. I am most likely moving to a new apartment some time next month so I will just have to see how things go.

Maybe you can finish mare that way because you listen while doing other things like cleaning or packing. A lot of people will do a book both on audio and reading. When they are doing other things they listen and then when they have time they pick up the book and just sit and read the next chapters. Good luck with your goal it is always nice to be able to do more of something you enjoy.
My goal is to read from my TBR pile. Also to review more! I want to try and review at least 75% of what I read this year.
Alexa, that's been my goal for two years now. Last year I only missed 5 books! The easiest way is to immediately write a review as soon as you can. At least that's what finally helped me out. Even if I didn't feel like writing I'd make an "outline" review and re-edit later.
I want to start dismantling my TBR pile! as well as mixing it up a bit and trying to read more Non-fiction, and some crime, mystery titles ( if anyone has any good suggestions swing them my way)
Last year I dropped my normal book goal from 100 to 52.
I want to try for 100 again, even with uni I want to fit in more time for fun reading.
also review more!

If you all do a reread of something do you count it in your reading total? Do you post it as currently reading on your GR page?
Diane wrote: "If you all do a reread of something do you count it in your reading total? Do you post it as currently reading on your GR page?"Usually I try to find another edition of the book on Goodreads to list it as currently reading so it will count towards my goal. I feel like a book read is a book read.
Diane wrote: "If you all do a reread of something do you count it in your reading total? Do you post it as currently reading on your GR page?"I do count it. I re-read Mockingjay and that counted, even though I'd read it already.
There are also a fair number of books I've re-read that I'd never added to goodreads in the first place.

Diane wrote: "If you all do a reread of something do you count it in your reading total? Usually I show them as currently reading and do count them for that year.
I don't. I don't want to have to use the other edition work around. I'll wait until they add a reread feature.
I do count them, but in my case, the ones I usually reread I have in 2 formats because they are my precioussssssss. Anywho last year I read less than the previous 3 years due to about 4 reading slumps and a move. I wanted to read 200 last year but had to change to a more realistic goal so, by hell or high water I will reach the 200 mark sometime, and maybe 2015 is that year! I do have another move in the near future but it wont be as bad as the previous...I don't think...I hope. Packing...Unpacking...uuuuugh.
Oh, I remember the move Hillary! THis next one will go smoother! I like to call it moving Karma. You know . . . I've got multiple editions of books, but I simply shelve them as ebooks if I've got extra copies.
Jenny, I'm just amazed they haven't figured it out yet. Or simply haven't added the feature yet. It didn't bother me to move a read date before because I haven't been reaching my goals. But if I reread anything now I don't want my last years' completion to go away!
I'd like to read at least 50 books in 2015 (same as last year) but hopefully more. And I would like to branch out a little bit and try some new genres/subgenres. That's about it as far as goals. However, I also have some fun stuff planned like going to a book con for the first time and doing more on the book blog I just started.
I'm with you, Brandi! Aiming for 50 books in 2015 (which was the same as my goal for last year - though I sadly fell short at 47, I think). So... take two!I'd also like to continue my trend of actually writing reviews (instead of just rating, which I used to do).
I want to read more books this year and stick to books I own and have on my Nook. I also ned tocut back, if not quit, purchasing more books to read!
I'm with Dawn, I'm doing my best to stick to reading books I already own -- my problem is that I can't stop buying! Lol. I need to slow down on that too. My reading goal for the year is 75 books, and I really want to work on finishing a lot of series that I've started.
Ashley you could be in my head! That is exactly how I am. It is so hard to pass up a good deal on a good book and often hard to finish a series when you are itching to read so many other books too. Ifd only there were more time
I may need a support group or something to help me with my goal of reading the books I already own first, because I started a new job at the library and it's WAY too tempting to take all that stuff home with me instead. But I guess that's better than spending money on new stuff while I'm not reading my books, yeah? Maybe I can at least try to limit my borrowing to books in series I've already started or something. Compromise!
Dawn wrote: "I want to read more books this year and stick to books I own and have on my Nook. Then I find more at the library..hard to read all those I already have on hand. Trying to read at least one a month that I already own. Going for total of 90 books for the year.
Jenny wrote: "I may need a support group or something to help me with my goal of reading the books I already own first, because I started a new job at the library and it's WAY too tempting to take all that stuff..."I feel you Jenny. I've worked at a library for 9 years now and the temptation to take everything home never goes away. Its a little bit better now that I'm not working at the circulation desk so I don't get to see what's coming in or going out all the time.
