Emily Malek (reads_everything) | 30 comments Toward the end of the novel, it is revealed that Kevin has more complicated feelings about his mother and some of the 9 people he murdered. This gives us a hint as to why he might have carefully planned and carried out Thursday. Does he seem pathetic or more deserving of compassion because he may have had a motive, after all?

Kay Collins | 4 comments Pathetic-I have no compassion for Kevin at all

Beth (techeditor) | 15 comments NO COMPASSION. He should rot in jail!

Beth (techeditor) | 15 comments Kevin will be a danger to society and his mother when he gets out of jail. Prison makes people worse, not better, even just the few years that Kevin will be there. If he lives with his mother, she will end up dead.
