Want to re-read a book but I don't remember title or author...

I'm looking for the author of a book I read a while ago, because I'd like to read more of his, but I don't remember his name! I know the author is male, and I feel like it was an older book. It had a female lead, who went to prison and when she got out, wasn't able to get jobs because of her record and proceeded to take revenge on those who had put her there. I'm going to put more in, in case there's a detail that sparks someone's memory, but it'll be hidden as a spoiler for those who haven't read it or could possibly read this post after it's been resolved. Really hope someone can help me! Thanks :) (view spoiler)[ She went to prison because a mob or mafia boss bought out her mothers business, ruined it, and gave it back. The mom committed suicide and the daughter (lead character) went for revenge, got framed and then set up by her defense attorney. Went to prison, a nasty business in itself, then got out because she saved the warden's daughter instead of escaping. Couldn't get a job, so stole and, indirectly and very, very cleverly took out everyone who'd had a hand in her downfall. Oh, and she lost her rich boyfriend when she was convicted.
