John | 3922 comments by this I mean ones that you really liked and feel other group members might, too, that aren't (easily) available in audio format. This includes folks who read the print edition, because the audio wasn't available to them for geographic reasons, and liked it a lot.

The book that got me thinking about starting such a thread: The Potty Mouth at the Table by Laurie Notaro. Her humor is such that most folks, unless they live a VERY rarified existence (or are very intellectual), should relate easily to her ... issues.

Donna | 228 comments I'm really loving the Hilary Tamar books by Sarah Caudwell about a group of young English barristers and an Oxford don who are amateur sleuths; the juxtaposition of the P.G. Wodehouse writing style with the characters' matter of fact attitudes about sex is just cracking me up. I bought the first one Thus Was Adonis Murdered as an ebook which was handy for looking up the odd Latin legal phrase, but will try to restrain myself and read the rest via paper copies from the library.

I wish Audible sold these; they were available on CD at one time but are now selling for $60+.
