Thanks!"
Sounds like your son is reading some really great titles! Let's see if we can come up with some more.
A fan of The Fog Diver series might like Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson for its fast-paced action/adventure fantasy. I'd also recommend the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer- another fast-paced fantasy with lots of adventure, twists, and turns.
If he likes the dystopian aspects of The Fog Diver, he might also enjoy Margaret Peterson Haddix's books- try the Shadow Children series that starts with Among the Hidden for some age-appropriate society-gone-wrong suspense! I also recommend Haddix's Running Out of Time.
The Giver is such a good, thought-provoking read. You may know that it's the first in a series, so if he liked it, you might want to have him continue with Gathering Blue. Also try The City of Ember by Jeanette DuPrau, and The White Mountains by John Christopher.
The Hunger Games and Maze Runner are also great for fans of Fog Diver and The Giver, but they're more mature-- I would normally recommend them for middle schoolers and up. Possibly worth looking at, as you'll know best what your son is ready for!
Let us know if any of these recommendations work out! And if they don't, let us know that, too-- we're always happy to keep trying!

Tell us what you're in the mood for right now- funny? dramatic? swoonworthy? long? short? historical? fantasy? - and the Mission Viejo librarians will recommend a title for you.
