Interesting world building.

I'm about 1/3 of the way through. It took me a bit to get into it but it seems to be building into something I'll enjoy.

It felt a bit tooo YA for me to enjoy, which really surprised me because a book where librarians are basically transdimensional superheroes is right up my alley but this book simply didn’t work for me.

Also read it very quickly - quite enjoyed the idea of transworld librarians - it's very inventive; and Irene is neither OTT kick-ass [guy in a dress] or 'too' feminine. Be interested to see wht others think of its themes and ideas! Perhaps a little too YA as someone has said, but actually, I was quite glad of a break from grimdark.

I am just getting ready to start it. From the summary, seems like it will be perfect. But I am a little concerned about the YA vibes and the YA shelves...

I did not find it to be overtly YA, and about 10 times as many readers have it shelved as fantasy than have it shelved as YA.
