Specific picture book version of the story "Christmas Every Day"

Hello,

I am looking for a specific version of the story "Christmas Every Day". It's about a girl who wishes it was Christmas every day and gets her wish with disastrous consequences. The original story is by William Dean Howells but I distinctly remember having a picture book of this story. I'm 80% sure the book i had did not use the original tex since I've read the original version and it didn't sound familiar to me though it's possible I've forgotten it. The title may not have been "Christmas Every Day" but it was a retelling of that story. The book was published no later than the early 1990s (I read it as a child and I was a teenager by the mid-1990s) but could have been published sometime before. Any help would be appreciated.
