Query abandoned by poster > ABANDONED. YA - Invisible spaceship lands/crashes on earth, one of the main characters walks into a force field round it or maybe the ship itself not realising it’s there

Chris | 2 comments Pretty sure its a YA book. I read it around 15 years ago, or maybe a bit earlier than that. I have a feeling it might have been part of a sci-fi series but I'm not sure about that either. I know there's not much details here but I keep remembering it and would like to know what book it was.

Sarah (drsarah) | 176 comments Might just possibly have been Douglas Adams' https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8... and the Somebody Else's Problem field; stretching it a bit but that's the only thing I can think of.

Chris | 2 comments Thanks, but thats not what I'm thinking of, I have a feeling it would have been a less popular book than that. Although you have just made me want to read the Hitchiker series again, so that'll give me something to do for a while.

Chris, please post a new comment if you're still looking for this book - or if you found it.

Chris (OP) was last active on the site in May 2020. Moving to Abandoned folder.

Ingo (ilembcke) | 669 comments Probably to late published (GR says 2015), but even though this is now in the Abandoned folder I want to mention it.
Some of it reminded me of a book series I started, the first book was good, the 2nd went downhill (for me).
Craig A. Falconer: Not alone (Alien Contact) series
First book
Not Alone by Craig A. Falconer Not Alone
I could not really finish the 2nd book, too much of more complicated conspiracies and lies, and now I shudder to think, that 8 more books are available. But maybe it gets better, or this is your kind of thing - whoever picks this up after reading this.

Also the first book was available for free, and some or all of the series is in Kindle Unlimited, so maybe you can check it out without paying for it.
