It's part of a series, i read it around 2010-ish, i think the second book in the aeries came out around 2014. Dont remember much about it, aside from it's a type of elemental series. The first book is about a girl who lives in a type of nunnery, and helps take over the job for the beekeeper, which is how she found out she could make the bees do as she asked. This nunnery/chantry type place she lives in is made of ice, and something happens where it explodes. There is a boy that helps her that also has a type of elemental power, but it is supposed to be rare if someone has more than one. They journey somewhere, while there is a mage-type person who weeks to desteoy this girl.
