Liz Gamez | 3 comments This book is fictional. It's about a girl living with her father; both of them were bookworms. Her father put the love of books into her, and he thought very highly of books. They had stacks of books all over, and she would constantly read books before going to bed and would often read secretly late at night. Her father had a workshop/office of some sort in their home, where he fixed books from what I remember. Her father was named Mo or Moe. Then some man that her father knew came on a rainy night. His name was like fox or foxtail I think or something of the sort (I might be wrong, please disregard this otherwise) This man comes. He needs help and.. the girl was worried about not being able to bring many books and her father only let her take a small amount...then they leave to another person's home..the strange man had some kind of cute, funny little creature with him that lived in his backpack or something...That's where my mind blanks. I used to love this book when I was young, but I cannot remember the title or author for the life of me. I don't think i ever finished it. I appreciate any help.
I don't know when this was published, but I found out about it around 2012-2016.
My public library had copies of this book as an audiobook CD.
I recall that this first book was part of a series of about 2-3+ books, but I never read them. I also remember that the cover art of this book or one of the others had a dragon or Dragon eye looking through a hole of some sort

Nachelle | 160 comments Yep, definitely agree with Emilie, Inkheart by Cornelia Funke.

Cassandra Barsby | 33 comments Yup, and its a series. I think Inkheart, Inkspell, Inkdeath. Theres also a movie with the same title.

Tori | 4 comments The plot you’re describing is definitely Inkheart, but the cover art you’re talking about sounds like another book by the same author - Dragon Rider. The Inkheart series and Dragon Rider novel are completely unrelated
