Short story about a big magic mirror that works as a time travel portal, set in Turkey or an Arab country

The main character is a man who finds a weird store, where the owner has a giant magic mirror. When he steps through it, he travels through time. I think a dead wife was involved and it was emotional.
It's a short story (part of a collection). I read it maybe 2 years ago, but I don't remember how old the book was.
