Early on, Duke suspected that the killer’s target was Nora. Did you have any idea that Maggie was Nora’s half sister before it was revealed?

[Anita]

No. I thought Maggie was the daughter of Cameron Lovitz, but I didn't think she was a half sister of Nora's. My mind wouldn't let me think that this psycho was in any way related to Nora.

[Robin]

In one scene near the middle of the book, Maggie was thinking about her step-father. The fact she had a step-father made me wonder if Cameron Lovitz was her father. That also made me think that Lorraine might be her mother. I wasn't sure about Lorraine though since I didn't know how Lorraine could have another daughter and Maggie not know about it. Turns out she did know about it.

It just never crossed my mind until Nora realized who her parents were. I never saw it coming and even considered it might be Quin for a time (yeah, that was pretty far out there at the time). I didn’t know enough about Nora’s past to consider if Duke was onto something, let alone know who it was.

[Anita]

I thought he was stretching in believing someone was after Nora.

[Jonetta]

I was skeptical, too. But Hans backed him up.

[Melissa]

I didn't. My thoughts were that she had done her homework after seeing Nora at the lake. I thought that Duke was just being overly protective.

[Charlene]

I did think that Nora was the target, by someone influenced in prison by Lorraine, but I did not see Maggie as the third daughter until we learned that Lorraine was pregnant at her trial.

Once Nora was the target, I started thinking about who could be related to her (other than Quin). I believed that this person was the daughter of Cameron Lovitz before he met Lorraine. I never suspected Lorraine was pregnant at her trial until it was revealed.
