Sheriff Lance Sanger is convinced that Rose College Professor Lief Cole is behind the fire at Butcher-Payne. Were you, at least initially?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I didn't think he had a part in the planning or actual fire. I did think he for sure had an idea who was.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I thought the same as Anita. I didn't think Lief took part in the arson, but he probably knew who was behind it.

I agree, Anita & Robin. He definitely recognized the “signature,” even suspecting that Anya had hooked up with Maggie again. But I never thought he was involved.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments I wasn't so sure. It was too convenient. He would have been anyone's many suspect. I do agree that he probably knew who was involved.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I was fairly sure he was not involved in the arson, and he kept Anya from telling him things so he could have plausible deniability, which screams things about his conscience and culpability.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Agree. He knew that Maggie was back and not a good influence on Anya. He knew Maggie was a loose cannon and possibly dangerous, but he only wanted his suspicions, he didn't want to know for sure.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I didn't think he was actually involved in the arson but I did think that he was involved somewhat in the big picture.
