Fantasy, Magic, Pretty sure it is a four book series. I read the books somewhere between 2016 - 2019. I am describing the first book here which is what I want to find. A boy who works for a sword maker or stone mason or one of those people finds a scroll and reads out what is on it. He ends up summoning a demon/creature (pretty sure its called a drake). He goes to the city to get training on how to use his powers and stays at a bar for a bit. Walking out of the bar at night a few thugs gang up on him in an alley way and try to steal all his money. A man who is powerful (magically) finds him and defeats them. The man sponsors the boy so he can get training at the castles. Some of the other demons I remember dare fireflies im pretty sure. There is a scale that measures the magical power of the demons at the castle/school, the boys demon is just at a four, which is low. Pretty sure the cover of the first book is purple and called the sorcerer or something like that and the second book is green and called something like the alchemist.

The guy is the adopted son of the sword maker, reads the scroll, he can summon the little dragon like creature (breathes fire!), gets jumped. It is part of a series called The Summoner.
