Hello! Can you please remove this quote?

Hi
We can remove this quote for you as there are no likes but you would need to post your request under your author account.

Could you please remove this quote?
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1163...
I accidentally cut off the last couple of lines and posted the full quote separately.
Sincere thanks for your efforts!

Done.
I will just advise you that the full version is very close to being too long for this section. Quotes are not meant to be extracts or the entirety of a very long poem. :)
Also we prefer to edit rather than delete. If you make a mistake, please come to this folder & a librarian will help you.
Please allow at least half an hour for this quote to disappear from everywhere as this site is heavily cached.
@Nadine - your welcome!

Hoping you come back to this Ami (or anyone familiar with John Ashbery's poems)
This one https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/9050... Should this be Good gracious? (If Ami, doesn't come back I will delete this in a week)

Seems like two long pages of text with chapter heading in the middle, maybe should be two separate quotes

#815. You have linked to a few quotes. Can you tell me which one it is & which book it is from & I can move it. (we prefer moving to deleting) Also can you tell me what M4 is in your book title? Is it indicating that the book is in a series?

Please don't delete your requests. This messes the numbering up & makes it harder for librarians. Instead click on Notify me when people comment & then select none. This will stop you getting notifications about this thread.

I've seen that handled here previously. As it was considered relevant to the circumstances, it was left as X author quoting earlier Y author. For instance if Stephen King in his book on writing, quotes an earlier injunction that a gun in scene 1 must be fired by scene 3.
Maybe use your judgement as to relevance.

Please correct this quote: https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1164...
It has the incorrect source. The correct book is: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

Its form Iron Gold from Pierce Brown. Thank you.

816 (1) done. (2) done by someone
818 (1) AFAIK Quotes can be attributed to a box set. Another librarian may disagree.
(2) Deleted.
819 Deleted the second one, (no likes) but the third one is from a different book.

In future could requests like this be given their own thread please. :)
Edit: The deletes have still not gone through, but a combine has.
I'll give it till tomorrow morning my time, then add it to the list of problems in the "Amazon DESTROYED the author's database." thread.
Edit; all the deletes have finally gone through.
https://www.goodreads.com/author/quot...
I am going away for a few days, if another librarian has time to look at the quotes from #822-834. It would be good to know if a long cache with deletes is now expected behaviour or if I was just unlucky

#823 Have just left the first 3 lines of the first poem, so done.
#824 A bug I have never bothered reporting is that the book title sometimes disappears in edit mode. This is the case here - & since the author is Various it would take a long time to find the book title in the dropdown menu. Leaving for someone else.
#825 1 Just left the first two verses.
2 This was added by the author which gave me a bit of a quandary. I removed his name & title of the poem & copyright info & just left the first few lines. If he posts wanting the whole poem up I'll have to get advice from the moderator or a librarian who does a lot of quotes.

The second quote in #806 was not updated- It is the one that needs the book title italicized. Please check the message for what needs updated. Thank you!

#827 No likes so I combined

#829 Done
#830 I removed the title & just left the first verse of one version. Done.
#831 Done (only 1 version had a like.)
#832 There is a Vidhya Vijay who might qualify as notable, but I found five quotes attributed to this name. They all had grammatical/spelling errors, so I thought it highly unlikely that the Vidhya Vijay I found had written them so I deleted all of them.
Please note that deletes have been a bit sticky on GR recently & allow 24 hours for them to go through.
Please don't add any more requests to this thread. I want to request it be closed as it is over three years old.
Please don't add request for quotes with over 500 likes to this thread. Only Superlibrarians can do those requests. Instead make a separate request.

https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1887...
It should be "No one is useless in this world who lightens the burden of it for anyone else," and it's from Our Mutual Friend.
Technically, it's the Secretary that says it.
You will need superlibrarian powers for this, it has too many likes for me to edit.
Hello, can you please remove the quotation marks from this quote?
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1169...
Thank you!
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1169...
Thank you!

You can try making a separate post for this - staff or a super may decide to combine the shorter versions where hopefully only one like is lost.
Please don't delete this post! as the numbering will then be off. Instead just replace the content with "now giving this it's own thread" or something like that.
#854, you should also give your request it's own thread (as I mentioned in post #853)
Both of you should mention in the thread title that your request needs a Super.

#845 Done
& as I mentioned in post #853, I am now leaving this thread as it is so old I believe it should be closed. Another librarian may feel differently. :)

Hello! Can you please remove this quote?

I do not sell these books anymore, and would like it removed as it shows up under my name in google search, and as the original author, I wish to remove that. Thank you!
