Chapters 1-3

(view spoiler)[ I'm liking the change of pace as they journey to the Fading Lands. The skilful way she described the rebuilding of Teleon and the Glass Lake Memorials I could get a really clear picture in my mind. This is a strength to her writing.

(view spoiler)[ Although the fire song with the Tairens was very sad (the male dying with his dead mate and kits), I do like the sections about the Tairen. Again, I can picture them breathing fire and flying around, the author does a really good job depicting this. I'm wondering if the evil Mage is the one killing the kits or some other evil. I was thinking the same thing Lisa (view spoiler)[about the Mage being responsible for killing the kits. Maybe he's doing it somehow when the baby was born in the dungeon and was a Tarien soul, is when the kit died.

It was sad when the tarien's died. However I love the other tarien. Steil had totally taken Ellie under her wing. So funny asking what knocking was a c then later her shaking the bed by knocking lol (hide spoiler)]

I finished it a bit ago. I really do love this world.

I finished last night too.

(view spoiler)[ I am so glad that the kits have been saved and that Vadim's plans there have been foiled. But I'm sure he still has some nasty plans to unfold before the series is over and he gets his just desserts.

I'm pretty sure that the twin sisters, Sol and the fey protectors, Keiran and Keir are somewhere in the Mists. The girls magic will somehow safely see them through. And I liked the ending with Rain taking ownership of the armour.
