Why does Chamber of Secrets seem to be everyone's least favorite of the books?

Well, I don't have anything against Chamber of Secrets at all! My mum is reading it right now and kept laughing out loud at the parts where Dobby appears!

I have nothing against the Chamber of Secrets as well. I thing that some people might not prefer it as much as the others because sweet Ginny is as innocent as always but happens to be the one that was doing all of that horrible stuff!

Even if I personally loved all Harry Potter books, I have to admit Chamber of Secrets wasn't my favourite. Maybe it's because the plots of the other books are more interesting?

I didn't know people felt like this and I'm actually fairly shocked because Chamber of secrets is one of my favorites in the HP series! I agree with previous comment, that the Goblet of Fire was pretty slow. An unpopular opinion of mine is that the Prizoner of Azkaban wasn't as good as the Chamber of secrets.
