Daniel Clark Did this book take a left turn out of the awesomeness of the Harry Potter series? Or did it stand on its own as a good book?

Daniel Clark I am a few chapters in and I'm already impressed. It has some of that same feel of the Harry Potter books we know and love. It's fun exploration and quirky characters and mysterious happenings.

Also, I thought it was a prequel, since it's about James Potter, which is the name of Harry's dad. But I forgot that Harry names his son James as well. This series is about the next generation of witches and wizards.

Daniel Clark I have got to say that this read was very enjoyable.

Have you ever read a book and said to yourself, "Hmm, maybe I could be an author. I could totally do what they just did."? Have you ever thought the opposite, "Wow, that was an amazing book, and I could never do what they just did!"

Well I have to say that this book was amazing and I can see why people have though that J.K. Rowling wrote this. It was so well done! There was so much fun and mystery, loads of school hijinks, good foreshadowing, and all neatly tied up in the end. There were great new characters and what I thought were fitting roles for the old characters. I loved that there was a larger plot going on that had parallels to modern history, similar to what Rowling does. I can't say enough how much I loved this book. So fun!
