Uh Neither? I prefer Tolkien and C.S. Lewis as my favorite classic fantasy authors. Shannon Hale and Brandon Mull are my favorite modern authors. I liked Harry Potter and Percy Jackson but they aren’t as good as the masterpiece that is Lord Of The Rings and The Chronicles Of Narnia. I grew up with Fablehaven and Princess Academy, only recently got into HP and PJO so that might have something to do with my opinion here.

JK Rowling. I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but I think Rick Riordan wrote Percy Jackson because he wanted to create a series that was as good as Harry Potter. You could say JK Rowling inspired Riordan in a way. Percy Jackson is great but Harry Potter is on a whole different level.

This is so hard to choose! I love both of these series.
I would have to choose Rick Riordan because he has more books (all of which are great), so I would have more to read from!

i don´t knoww, they´re both magical in their own way. i think maybe Harry Potter, because it was the first book i´ve read, but i´m also in looove with percy jackson. they´re just so good
