Mine would be If You Only Knew by Kristan Higgins, it is just light enough but still has a lot there to dig into
If I could recommend one? Like I can read other books but I can't recommend any book but this one to other people? I don't really feel that I read many books that would have really broad appeal, so I would say a classic like a Harry Potter because it's helpful socially to have that knowledge. It's also an easy read. Whether or not they like it would be a talking point. I would have the same answer if it's about what I would read for the rest of my life because it's familiar and homey. I hate how basic that answer is but it's the truth!
Ali- I haven’t heard of that one, it looks interesting though!!
Sarah - I definitely agree, I love Harry Potter and it would be a very good option to recommend!!

Where the Crawdads Sing would be a great choice Ali, I loved it! I'd have to go with one of my favorite authors though so either Kristin Hannah (The Great Alone or Winter Garden) or Kate Morton (Secret Keeper or Forgotten Garden) ... so many wonderful choices so that's a hard choice.
Sarah Piper - it was such a good book. I read it in 2018 and I'm still thinking about it! I've only read I think one book by Kristin Hannah (Firefly Lane) and nothing by Kate Morton so those sound super interesting!

Usually with a little tears :)

My pick would be Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens because it has a little bit of everything and reminds me of reading Jean Craighead George as a child in its' beauty and tone.
