Did you think Emmy's struggle was an accurate depiction of life with an eating disorder?

I've read quite a few books with anorexic characters, seen shows, and movies...and the funny thing is the many ways anorexia is portrayed. Some are simply tales from the perspective of family members, and how the author might understand from experiencing someone in their life...but then there's the perspective from the afflicted individual...and I think it's really hard to get this on point if you haven't been through it yourself...(Red Band Society, this book, etc...)
So, I thought there were really some points where I, a person who's been through similar struggles, could really relate to Emmy. But other places where I...couldn't.
Like that Emmy seemed to find all the recovered girls fat. I never had that perspective on anybody: I pretty much thought I was fatter than everybody. But maybe that was just me?
What do you think?
